No, I am more than happy to answer all questions and explain the logic.

Truth is that no matter what system is used that someone will not like it.

I have however tried my best to inject an element of fun.....while also ensuring that any draw is 100% fair and unbiased.

Every share holder has a chance (one chance per share) to win one of the four prizes on offer.

All chances were 100% equal.

First stage of the raffle has been drawn to assign you a ticket number.

You may now view that number of having a greater or lesser chance of winning one of the particular 4 prizes on offer.

For prize # 1 (which is not a first prize...but rather just one of the 4 on offer as each shareholder will rank the prizes differently) some ticket holders will not be in the race now to win it. Who exactly is will be known when the final two 22's are declared.

44 tickets will be live though then...and on Thursday it will be say 50. So the emergency list will have added meaning to some this week.

But again..all 100 shares were in that first draw and all 100 shares had an equal statistical chance of getting a particular number.

I would also note that with the first goal element (which I view asa lot of fun) that this always had to be limited as there are only 44 players and 100 shares/tickets.

Hence the pre-draw.

So for the example above, if BJ kicks the first goal, I win prize 1. But if Milne kicks the first goal, and the Saints have a score of 18 at quarter time, I win prize 2. If, however, a Richmond player kicks the first goal, I want the Saints to have a score of 83 at half or three quarter time in order to win prize 3 or 4.
I will be very happy!!!

Eddie could get his phone-a-friend to do it for him, but Kingy i'll find it difficult from the stands.

Don't worry mate, your Richmond players might kick the 1st goal. Who wears 99 & 70 for them?
Good luck.
At the first bounce only 36 numbers will be in the running so a lot of sponsors know that they have no hope of getting 1st prize.
I sponsored the players to help the club so I don't really care if I win anything or not but to rule people out this early seems strange.

McQUALTER PLAYER SPONSOR DRAW

The prizes:

There are be 4 prizes available to be 'raffled off':-

1/ 1 x Framed memorabilia

2/ 2 x Tickets to Match Day Experience (Crows Game)

3/ 2 x Tickets to B&F

4/ Either of the following 2 options:-

3 x tickets to Match Day Experience (Crows Game) OR 1 x ticket to B&F (ie you pick one of these two options

Your raffle ticket:
Each share = one ticket
Each ticket has been randomized and then assigned two numbers.
To make it impartial:
First number applies if St Kilda scores the first goal of the St Kilda Tigers game.
Second number applies if Richmond scores the first goal.

Who wins:

Prize 1/ Number of jumper of the player from this game that kicks the first goal (can be a player from either team).

Prize 2/ St Kilda score at quarter time
Prize 3/ St Kilda score at half time
Prize 4/ St Kilda score at three quarter time

Question...

Does prize number 1 Number of jumper of the player from this game that kicks the first goal (can be a player from either team). = 1 x Framed memorabilia

Prize number 2 - 2 x Tickets to Match Day Experience (Crows Game) = St Kilda score at quarter time

and so forth ??

Normally raffles are drawn with the 1st winner taking 1st prize I think St Fid but I'm not sure now.

"For prize # 1 (which is not a first prize...but rather just one of the 4 on offer as each shareholder will rank the prizes differently)." ??

I hope that all selected are financial.

I don't really see it as 1st prize, 2nd prize ect...

I am just reading it as prize #1 prize #2 ect

Maybe I am just reading it too laterally....

But I just thought it needs some clarification

Prize Number 1...is just the first prize awarded.

It is not necessarilly the most "valuable" prize.

Each forumite will have their own idea of what is best. Some will desire the B+F...some the memorabilia...

There are simply 4 different prizes...and I have nominated how each is won.

Correct me if I am wrong - but isn't the framed jumper Mini's jumper???

1/ You had the same chance as everyone else of getting a number that equates toa player that might kick a goal.

It was luck of the draw. Every draw has winners and losers....you obviously deem yourself as one of the losers of this first round.

Those that got 44 or 12 in the draw for StKilda rae probably delighted.

2/ Personally I do not rate the prize that is determined by the goal as the most valaubele...but some might.

Finally if I had used a hat there would be 96 tickets that miss out.

In this process.....there will still be 96 tickets that miss out.

All have had EXACTLY an equal chance of winning...both processes are exactly equal.

One process would have involved sat 5 people at Livewire watching tickets pulled from a hat..with most missing out from observing.

This process IMO involves more people.,,,,,and I might be completely wrong...but involves more "fun".

You obviously feel aggrieved believing wrongly that you have "missed" out...when in fact your number has already been drawn out of a "virtual' hat. You have actually already participated in the process that you have asked for...but are not happy because you are not one of the group you deem to be "winners".

That you did not get the result that you may have wished for is due to the luck of the draw.

Well that really is Mr Magic's concern.

He organises the finances and supplies a list to me of the shareholders and how many shares each has.

Mr Magic very generously takes on the risk in this.

So I have full faith in the list supplied to me.

I don't actually know what the memorabilia is.

Mr Magic has arranged the Sponsorship.

I am just arranging distribution of the Sponsors Benefits as "prizes".

My concern is not the value of the prizes...just in ensuring that they are distributed in a fair way....

This process is entirely decided by fate. Statistically all tickets have exactly the same chance of winning any of the 4 prizes.

In doing this I am also hoping to have a bit of fun for me...and for all shareholders.

Pulling tickers out of a hat is not my idea of fun...even though the first two years draws that I organised were done that way (well an envelope actually).

Do you have another question?

My reply to Iceman was that I do not know what the memorabilia is.

Was not his question the same as yours?
