Was absolutely sensational today. that bulls*** mark to jurrah which he clearly touched in the first quarter was the only real blemish for today. And I don't give a s*** if it was "only Melbourne" to those of you cynics.
Raph Clarke is an integral part of September for us - believe it. know it. and If you don't, piss off. Go join bomberblitz or puntroadend.
Go Raph!
POST EDITED TO REFLECT THE TALKBACK CALLERS WHO I AM SURE ARE QUEUEING UP TO HAVE THEIR OPINION ON RAPH'S "SHITTY" GAME!

Pretty sure you need to watch the game through 2 eyes. Raph wasnt good and that was a mark.

I watched the game with both eyes
raph was good in patches, made a couple of mistakes and was too loose at times (but so was everyone).
But he was good, got a pass mark by me

2013 trade/draft best ever?
Billings - future brownlow medallist Longer - future best ruck
Dunstan - future captain Eli - future cult hero
Acres - future norm smith
He's getting better but I still get nervous every time he runs with it.
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!
It is not over the top. look i don't care about the mark ok, f*** the mark!
This thread is about those SCUM that call themselves St Kilda supporters that start threads about how s*** Raph is and how he doesn't desevre his place in the team.
SO F*** the mark, it's not about that, OK? Plugger, I did watch the game with two eyes mate and Raph was FAR FAR FAR from our worse, that's what the thread is about!
These so called St Kilda supporters can get stuffed.

Hey best Saints supporter in the world. we can say a player didnt play well and still love the club. I reckon Raph was no good today. Didnt say he was worst on the ground and never suggested dropping him. The thread was about that. You said he was sensational and blamed a mark that was a mark for his only blemish. That was what the thread was about.
The little I saw, he did some good stuff. Whether he's a superstar for the next month or not, if we make the GF, he'll definately be there...detractors will just have to deal with it.
No plugger, that comment was directed at you, not the entire topic. WTF would i call you a Raph hater - it's clear you are one of the most level headed supporters here, this thread is CLEARLY targetted at those idiots who don't have a clue.
You accused me of watching the game through one eye and i rebutted it.
I am NOT trying to start an argument with you. And I DON'T consider myself the "best St Kilda supporter in the world"
I felt that Raph served the club well today. He showed great poise at times. Sure he made 1 or 2 skill errors but so did some other players. When a defender makes a skill error and it results in a goal to the opposition, they are shunned. What about a forward who misses a goal? That too is a skill error that has cost the team a goal but because it wasn't conceded directly to the other team it's ok. Defenders in general cop more flak for conceding goals but is it worse than the saints kicking a behind? Momentum swing perhaps?
Sorry, I went off track there but it is my first post and I wanted to dribble a little.
On occasions forwards are going to lead into excellent delivery and no defender can do anything about this.
The reason for such incidences is delivery and a lack of pressure on the deliverer of the ball.
So, playing in defence, Clarke gets "caught out" as do all other defenders. It goes with the territory.
In today's game (and over the season) Clarke checks closely, positions well around the scrimmages, directs well, runs to position well both offensively and defensively and, of significant importance, puts his body into the contests to roll the opposition off the ball and protect the space, including giving deft and lightning handballs if he takes possession - and he hits the ariel contests (no matter the size) with a good, accurate and disciplined defensive fist.
His skills with the ball are more than acceptable, and well up with most others.
These are the reasons Clarke is an automatic selection in the St Kilda league side.

Why dont you think Ball and MG should play? I said Raph wasnt sensational and the other guy took the mark. When did i select the side on this thread. Maybe read it all before commenting. And thanks for your analysis of how a backman plays. Wouldnt have known without that.
Ralph played good today i feel that he has improved through the year, yes sometimes he may make some mistakes but today was happy with his performance WELL DONE RALPH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
