Official match report says no injuries, not that that means anything.

Blake was the in the blue shirt for the first half, then came on and Fisher was in the blue shirt subbed off. At the time I just thought it was a pre planned thing that they would both play half a game, but there could be something more to it.

After half time he came out wearing the blue top and Jason Blake was on the ground. I thought it must have had something to do with the subsitutes as didn't Rhys Stanley also start out as a sub as well?

Really? Haven't heard anything, haven't watched the replay yet either though. I hope its only minor. He is such an important player for us that I'm sure they would have took him off at the first sign of anything. No risks.

I think ross lyon subsitute blake and fisher to see how the backline would perform without one of them.

His kicking in non pressure situations is still a worry. When Sam has time to think he still burns the ball too much for my liking. In every other facet of the game he is an outstanding player.

looked in good spirits on the bench and didn't have any discussions with the trainers or ice strapped on after coming off.

Yeh, sat behind the bench....he was subbed at half time....

Seems relaxed and was just chilling on the bench there....

Walked off the ground without any worries.....

Id be more concerns if it hadn't been Blake as his substitute....Makes me think it was pre-planned defender for a defender.....

Correct. A bit like the old 19th & 20th, they (those who don the blue after being replaced) are the new 23rd & 24th.

It is a good step, but begs the question, why not let clubs have as many of their list on the bench as they want? VFL will probably be the answer, but is it good enough? Most of these issues are one of balance, the question is whether the current balance is right. Perhaps every team with Nick R should be allowed to have 6 and those who don't shouldn't.
