Tassie Saint wrote:Yay!
Between 1970 and 1998 there were 9 occasions when the Saints leading goalkicker kicked less than 50 goals for the season.

What years were these and who were the leading goal kickers?
So was I right Tassie Saint?

I had to rescue this from Page 4. Must be the lowest it's ever been.

Had to save this from page 2 again. I know it has been a big weekend, but lets distract ourselves with some trivia! :D

Do you want to ask your question, saintcat? I will ask one if not.

I'd like to try and keep this going, if at all possible.

New question is -

"Darrel Baldock, whom many would say is our greatest ever player, originally signed with which two teams before settling on the Saints?"

It was Melbourne first, followed by South Melbourne

Fid is 100% correct.

Luckily for us, The Doc let his first two contracts lapse before joiniung St Kilda as they trained for the 1961 Finals, liked what he saw and the rest is joyous history! :D

Ask away, Fid. :)

Who did the Saints play against when Bill Mohr kicked his 100th goal

and did we win the match?

Carlton.

And yes, we won. Mohrs 100th goal in fact sealed the result, I believe.

Cool.

Looking for details on St Kildas first Finals win. Correct answer will have year, sids we played against and the score, the ground ity was played on, and our victorious captain and coach. Bonus brownie points for the guernsey number of the captain (that is also a slight clue! )

I think we beat South Melbourne 12.12.84 to 6.15.51 and it would be 1908?? perhaps

You got it, Len.

For the record, the match was played at the MCG, as were all of St Kildas finals matches until 1972.

Your go. :)

OK - I pinched half of the answer from HD but I have an easy one if HD doesn't have one.

The G-Train led the goalkicking for the early part of the 2004 season and then kicked a few less and dropped to 2nd on the leaderboard.

What round did he move back to the top of the goalkicking list, and for bonus points, who was the team we played and how many did the G-Train kick that day?

I watched this twice last week- annoyed the roos supporters on our bus by playing it all the way home- or the second half

Rd 20 vs the roos and he kicked ten (just) -

or Brian Taylor may have found him and jabbed him one for giving away three others.. wish he had kicked the three others would have changed that finals match :? oh well

Yes, well done Brat - your go.

The other FF who was attempting to win the Coleman medal could only manage one for that week despite the bummers beating the wobbles by heaps.
