So in one breath their "contrived nature" is so insincere it almost insults our intelligence and in another breath you don't think it was their intention. Which one is your argument?
Firstly, you were the one originally responding to my post, in which I said 'insult.' I'm not the one who deviated to suit my argument.
Secondly, you obviously didn't follow my logic. Of course they didn't sit in an office and say 'let's send some computer-generated images and watch the 38,000 dupes believe it's personalised and sincere.' There was no intention in that regard.
It's simply the fact that they sent them that insults our intelligence, because in doing so they clearly didn't stop to think that we had the capacity to see straight through them.
If they did stop and consider that, and still sent them, then there WOULD have been intention involved.
Anyway, it's not a major issue. I'd just like them to be honest with us in their promotional material.
