They showed a couple of different news crews going to the door of Baker's house and it was answered by Eddy.

Neither of them recognised him as a league footballer and referred to him as Baker's housemate. One of them even asked his name.

they opened the show with Fev and Browny dramatisation and then discussion on Bakes situation, weeks and character referance- and basicly said it wasn't right that the 'unmanly term be used'

real victim of week is Steven baker's flatmate- ( they got that wrong as Rob doesn't live there I don't think- Zac and Jack do)

through the screen door - ch 10 journo 's knocked and Robert Eddy answered- as a friend what do you have to say ( Lehmo pointed out that he was a st Kilda Footballer)
Ch 7 then arrived asking to speak to Steven - and who are you- one of his mates' and your name- Robert- Rob.-
Andy mahar said in no way should Robert Eddy be mistaken for anything other than an AFL footballer ( they did say he'd played 50 games- almost he's on 27)

so they produced badges,Mugs, T- shirt for Sam and a Banner behind the desk - with shouts of Eddy Eddy eddy- Nice photo used..
Robert eddy week with specials at theatre etc..

was done very well and as sainterk very much supportive of the Saints.

It was very funny.

Poor Rob didn't know what to say...just said Robert when they asked him his name. He was wearing a saints hoodie for god's sake, in Bakes house. Pretty bad that they didn't know him. Was very close to playing in the GF...last one out. That alone should mean that footy journalists should know who he is.

and last week early in the game T lane called the wrong player.- maybe eddy for geary.

I did notice that one of the reporters introduced himself as Leith Mulligan from Channel 9 !!

That segment was hilarious.
Can't believe that Eddy kept politely answering the door, with that look of wary anticipation on his face.
I can just imagine him watching the show. Must have had a good laugh.
First thing I said though: I want that T shirt!

I said; "Before The Game have just announced The Robert Eddy Awareness Week."
She said; "Who's Robert Eddy?"

I think the problem is that he has a very generic face. I don't think I'd be able to spot him in a crowd of 10 people.

They should mention the interview at Sydney game function where red faced MC Rhys Muldoon asked him about playing in a losing GF and not realising he was dropped for it!

Someone else posted it at the time, but I can't remember who it was.
