Who barracked for the Saints?

Post: # 988553Post SaintTom »

I was wondering if people knew which players barracked for the Saints in their pre-player days. For example I think I'm right in saying that Fevola, Dayne Beams and Lynch were all old Saints supporters, but who else? Any player from any club, I'm interested to see how many there are.

Dayne Beams played all his junior footy for Mudgeeraba Saints on The Gold Coast which is why he has a 'Fortious quo Fidelius" tattoo on his torso... His family are (were?) rabid Bombers supporters. (unsure of their allegiances since Dayne went to the 'Pies)

I think Beams has been assumed to be a Saints fan because of his tattoo?
I'm pretty sure that his tattoo (our latin FQF) was from his Qld team and not from us.

Gerard Healy was a Saints fan growing up.

Liam Jones (WB), Nick Smith (SYD) and James Strauss (MELB).

Rory Sloan from Adelaide I think did too.

Correct and correct Mr Magic. Know Dayne, saw him grow up with one of our best mates son. He is a Bomber, but had a massive soft spot for us. Was hoping if he didn't get drafted by Bombers that we would take him. Keeps the tatt well covered these days. Its big, like Counsins.

Definitely was...

Was cheering Banger on with the rest of us at the 2008 Prelim.

Nominated Matt Maguire as a player he was most like in his draft profile in 08! Let's hope he doesn't have the luck that Goose did.
