Re: Gold Coast Priority picks
Their number one pick is a dead set gun. The potential to be as good as any midfielder in recent memory.
The priority picks are not worth complaining about. We did well out of the system in the early 2000s, and we receive money from the league. There are all kinds of mechanisms in place to try to keep the competition thriving. No, it's not a fair competition, but complaining about other clubs' handouts but not those which we get is strange.

Re: Gold Coast Priority picks
Beating West Coast by 7 goals up there is not beyond the realms of possibility. They have traveled the same distance as Paris-Moscow to play.
I'd say the sooner they start to win a few games the better, tbh. It will mean less concessions after 2023. I am happy for them as the Eagles get plenty of wins due to their home state advantage anyway. They'll fall away badly if they have to play outside of WA regularly - it's a pretty big disadvantage for them playing up there if you think about it.
Won't be long before Gold Coast are thereabouts, along with GWS and the Brisbane Lions.

It's a practice season, or a gap year as I've heard some players joke about.

Yeah nah, this is just a narrative you keep trying to get off the ground.Secret Kiel wrote: ↑Sun 14 Jun 2020 3:53pmIt's a practice season, or a gap year as I've heard some players joke about.
Players are going hard, crowds are already back (and will be back in Melbourne soon), TV ratings are through the roof, and the wave of injuries you guaranteed have unsurprisingly not materialised.
You’ve put all your eggs in this basket, but when you’re wrong you’re wrong, best to just admit it and move on.

Whatever you think about this year, the Suns get to keep him for as long as they like.
