Re: Josh Bruce
We had first use, it would have been tough as a forward for the WB tonight, and Wilkie was outstanding against him. Bruce was a pretty good player at times but always seemed to fall into the trap of not getting enough separation from his opponent despite working so hard.
Re: Josh Bruce
I loved watching Bruce take a Márk but not kicking for goal .
didn’t disappoint straight in front for a point. A lucky break for us if a few of the doggies had of kicked straight we might have been under pressure . I was worried who would take the marks in the forward line. Max and members should have us right Marshell very handy too.

Re: Josh Bruce
Listening to the SEN broadcast the delivery into their F50 was poor. Bruce must have thought, oh..here we go again. 2017-18 here we come.
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Re: Josh Bruce
Used to give it everything for us, but, apart from the occasional standout game was an honest toiler. Hope he can eventually shine at the Dogs, but not against us

Re: Josh Bruce
Agree.
We tried to turn him from a defender into a forward.
It wasn't his lack of effort that saw him fall a bit short.
Pretty sure it was us who initiated the move as we jumped on the King bandwagon?
Looking like a good decision already.
Don't think Bruce will ever be a star.
But really hope he has a long career with the Dogs.

Re: Josh Bruce
I always loved Bruce as a Saint and was sad to see him go. I always thought the club had made other plans and just decided he was surplus to requirements hence the move.
I think he gave his all every time he went on to the field. As someone else pointed out in the game thread though he looks out of shape.
I hope he prospers at the dogs. Guy had a 50 goal season in this day and age for a struggling club. He's got talent.

And the grapes be all one vine,
Ere our children's teeth are set on edge
By bitter bread and wine.
