Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Post: # 1869051Post johnearljames »

s***, I feel like Richard Dreyfuss off the '77 flick "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" trying to work out whether we will make the 8 with these ladder predictors.

It would be much simpler if the Saints just turned up and won or got a draw.

This has been one weird season. Alien intervention might help our cause also.

"THIS MEANS SOMETHING!"

https://predictor.squiggle.com.au/

According to Squiggle Ladder Predictor:

Possible scenario 1
Saints 50 v GWS 62
Bombers 50 v Demons 85

Possible Scenatio 2
Saints 50 v GWS 51
Bombers 50 v Demons 97

We are just .1% ahead of Melbourne on the ladder in both scenarios.

Gives you an idea on the margins for us to make it.

Imagine having to rely on the Injectors to play well.

It might come to that.

As worked out, even if GWS beat us by a couple of goals then the Demons would have to win by at least 6 goals against the Bombers to overtake us on %. Hopefully the Bombers go out with a bang. They are really under the spotlight.

For GWS to overtake us they would need to win by more than 50 points.

Dogs will replace Melb if win both , then we remain the one to fall out , barring Coll losing to GC

No, there 3 places for 5 teams.

If Dogs win both we can still make it. Even if we lose to GWS and Melbourne win but it's dependent on margins.

It would be nice if the Dogs lost 1 out of 2 as they couldn't make up our % either.
