Geelongs first mistake?

After a season of backing the young ruckman Blake, Geelong have in my opinion made a boo-boo in dropping this kid for the big game.
KB and others on SEN have said that whenever Ottens was off the field during the Prelim. Collingwood surged, implying that this was solely the fault of Blake. I would suggest that one man does not make a team and Geelong had several players who were off the beat last friday.
The courageous thing for me, would have been to back the kid to grab his chance at glory. The decision smacks to me of fearing the Port Ruckmen rather than working at how the Cats can pressure Port.
Form suggests that Geelong are pretty much in the box seat for the flag, but I'm wondering if they've made a selection error here.l

dont know if it is true but on the way home before i was listerning to 3aw and a caller came on and said that he had it from a reliable saurce that nathen ablett was out and blake was in

That rumour has been floating around town today - however he did train OK this afternoon. I guess time will tell.

lots of big rumours goinog around at the moment.

i guess given the wide breadth of media we have and the quality of investigative journalism (lol at hutcho being talked up) it will continue.

lol theres a rumour going on that blake will replace nathan ablett.. with the conditions that is doubtful..

Another rumor i have heard is that Blake is going to do a Derek Kickett if he doesn't play and demand to be traded.

Blake had a shocker last week, i think King would do no worse than Blake tomorrow, and if its neck and neck in a big game, you have to go with experience
