Cousins being sacked and the PSD...

Post: # 477736Post The_Dud »

Just a hypothetical, if Cousins gets turfed from the WCE (like he should), a. can he nominate for the PSD, b. do you think he would and c. do you think anyone would take him?

Richmond and Carlton could really use his football skills (well any team could i suppose) so do you think they would take the risk?

Depends if the AFL de-register him.

If he stays registered and the Eagles just delist him, then yes, he can nominate for the PSD, or even the National Draft if its by the cutoff date.

Cousins will play again.....

It will be more clear in the next few days, but taking everything else out of the equation and keepin it to simple numbers, theres a 1/15 chance he'll end up @ StKilda shall he play again (West Coast been the 16th team).....

Remember this;

Hes very very good mates with Gardiner.....

Am i saying i'd want him down at StKilda???

1 - Ben Cousins the football player version - YES

2 - Ben Cousins the off field version - NO

If the second point was erased he would make a great inclusion on any team.....

Problem is with Mainwaring's death, I believe Ben has had enough.....

I would like to see him retire and spend the next 2 years overseas.....

He'll never be left alone if he stays, if indeed all thats been reported is true.....

Godspeed Benny.....

he's had heaps of chances at WCE.

no doubt the AFL drug testers who couldn't find a thing for years will suddenly turn up positive results should he play for st kilda.

no injunctions can cover up his current indescretion.

I wonder if his 'form turn around' against st kilda was drug induced also

Wasnt he having drug tests after every game?

His form turnaround was due to the loss of Attard and a change in tactics by the Eagles.

who knows.

how many injunctions have the AFL taken out?

everything he's done must be tainted by what we know about him.

Have said many times I wouldn't want that drug cheating slimy piece of rubbish anywhere near our club.

Huge NO to him - the only clubs that deserve him are WCE, Carlton and that team that wears a white top with up and down black arrows all over it !!!!!!!!!!!!

i have seen him twice turn it on after half time after not getting near the ball in the first half...footballers dosed up on caffeine do it the other way around...go like blazes in the first half then burn out......i was roundly and soundly abused for posting this before...but i saw what i saw.......and i do know a little about the subject.....

Dont think judd would like him going to carlton, fairly obvious that the culture of WCE had something to do with judd's move back to victoria. Also he is a very ordinary character i know a few AFL players that have know about his drug problems for a few years and used it as sledges and he just replies "yeah but i still get more kicks than you" (which is true) but those kind of people can be detrimental to your club, i would much rather have young rookies looking up to robert harvey than ben cousins.

p.s. It is also painfully obvious why he ran from his car that time,he wasn't 'drink' driving.

Dan & Stinger i can understand your suspicion.....

But trust me.....Ben wasn't on anything, he just belted us fair and square.....

Blake did a good job in the first half on him.....but Attard was due to take over the 2nd and keep him at bay.....blew his knee, and blake was fu*'d.....

Cousins has a massive engine, prob the biggest I've ever seen.

I've seen the affect of drug taking (The above mentioned) on sportsman only hours after.....they DO NOT PRODUCE those kind of results.....

Besides all those drugs show up so easily (Including the masking agents) on drug tests.....

Stinger why would he dose up before the second half only, on two occasions? Is it because playing four quarters of super football would arouse too much suspicion? :)

well we've seen the success of the AFL's joke of a drug policy 500

and as for cousins, well, there is no trust there. the guy obviously can't help himself.

no injunctions gonna hide this one.

HAHA, do you seriously think he's doing ice at half time? somehow I doubt he'd be in a corner of the dressing room doing lines off the ground... I really doubt ice would have much of a benefit with sport either, I'm sure he'd enjoy the bright lights of telstra dome and the many ladies in the crowd but I really doubt it'd enhance his performance.

if he's an addict as what has been suggested, why would he stop taking drugs?

your hypothesis that he wasn't is just the same as the hypothesis he was.

"He has a massive engine", it runs on the new revolutionary fuel, ICE.

ICE can produce those performances in sportsmen and it is hard to detect because it clears the system quickly.

Ice doesn't enhance your performance as an athlete! if it does and it goes out of your system quickly (which I'm positive would be wrong) then why wouldn't it be widespread through sport, same thing goes for speed or any of the ravers drugs that people hear about an athlete doing then automatically thinks they take them before a event to enhance themselves.

I really doubt you'll see many methheads playing sport.

amphetamines (such as ice) and other stimulants (such as cocaine) are banned worldwide in sports because they are potentially performance enhancing.

they increase endurance and confidence and encourage risk-taking behaviour. in other words they give you an enormous "tank" and make you feel as if you can run through a brick wall. sound familiar?

a full on hit of ice at half time? i doubt it. but a small dose? who knows?

theres plenty of links on the effects of methamphetamines, we've been through this debate.

it is banned as a performance enhancing product.

a similar product is issued to the USAF pilots as 'go pills' for endurance and awareness improvement.
