Post: # 486935Post saint66au »

THought Id venture for the first time into the murky world of uploading to YouTube...and what else could I do but upload some Saints highlights!!

First up are some great goals of 2005, put together by our talented ex-poster Moose, whose highlights I managed to grab before his site was taken down..

More to come from time to time :-)

3 things that we saw in that footage that would be fu*n great this year.....

Sadly only 2 are possible.....

1 - Ball at full speed kicking a goal on the run

2 - Raph Clarke same as above

3 - A Hamill (2 Weeks) actually playing for us and making some awesome hard ball gets.....

But then again maybe since the last 1 will never happen maybe we'll be unlucky and none will

LET US PRAY TO THE FOOTBALL GODS!!!

hey watching that it reminds me of aussie, anyone have that game we played after he came out and said he was close to retiring? He kicked the most inspirational goal from the boundary but for the life of me I can't remember the game.

Personally I would rather raph take the marks down back that I know he can then kick those goals.

Just shows you how much class our midfield has when they are actually fit. Ball kicking 45 on his left, fiora running the lines, dal santo running the lines and finishing, hayes kicking it from 50 after selling the candy.

Geez, you easily forget how good Sammy was. F***. What a tragic end to a bloke's career.

Fiora needs to get that accuracy back on the run ... he had his best season this year, but if he nailed more of those he would be a sensation.

Aussie was an absolute gun too.

And Milney out-rucked Ackland :)

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Yep, easy to forget how good Hamill was.

Also found some other vids - namely of our great Sir Robert. Excellent tributes to him. Sheesh - our players simply MUST be made to watch them. 2008 MUST be a year where they galvanise behind Harvs and focus totally on delivering what he longs for - what he DESERVES.

C'mon win a flag - do it for Harves.

What gets me, all of these players in the last package except for Gehrig are still on our team

We became too unpredictable this year and didn't bomb it long. We need to use the ball fast and quick, we never looked slow when this happened

People rave about the streak of 04, but in 05 we were way better in almost every single facet.

Going into the finals in '05 I was sure we had it, we were in the second best form to Adelaide going in and then we managed to knock them off, beating Sydney should have just been a formality, but if it wasn't for a few players being out and Dal getting hurt half way through it probably would have been... DAM SCHNEIDER

Oh BTW, does anyone remember that play with Dal Santo on the forward flank pushed right against the boundary where he took on 2 defenders and then managed to hit a target? I think it may have been on OLB's Smooth Operator video, well anyway that was the only positive memory I have to take out of that night.
