Probable announcement at Open training session this week or next. I think the sponsors would prefer next week when there isn't so much political news about !!

Heard a whisper recently that the Club's new major sponser replacing BillExpress is a large organisation related to the travel industry with it's headquarters in Brisbane.

I wonder if that could mean either one of Virgin or Flight Centre or maybe both.

SWhat about Geelong and Ford, where the AFL is Toyota sponsored.

emerants dont fly domestically in australia
and toyota are AFL sponcers they dont deliver players to the game in camrys
Qantas give all the teams a discounted rate for their travel thats why not cause qantas sponcer the AFL

it would be more of a virgin issue that they sponcer a team and they wont even fly with them doesnt send a good message

Slight difference when it is the AFL that causes the clash.

Geelong had been sponsored by Ford for near on 75 years when the AFL struck their deal with Toyota, I would expect the same respect from the AFL if we were ever in a similar situation to that which the cats found themselves.

I heard there was a little bit of an issue and perhaps some cold feet from the potential major sponsor.

I believe Mr Westaway junior (reads and occasionally posts) on this site and has some information on this matter.

Or maybe he's too busy putting together getting a PE house to fund a management buy out of his dad's company
