What I want to see this afternoon..

Post: # 546243Post saintsRrising »

Win, lose or draw what I want to see is a 4 quarter effort from the boys where they work hard and are disciplined in how they play with good aggression at the ball ...and opponent when required.

To me today is all about how we play and how our players apply themselves.

This will set us up for the year....

Do our guys have the ticker fora fair dinkum crack???

Lets hope so.

This to me is more important than the result.

A focused game today will I believe see us continuing to gain momentum throughout the season with Misson building fitness into our list.

A shocker today on the other hand could see various players sliding into yo yo form slumps.

Today is a mini GF for us....the boys are faced with a task at hand......they must focus and overcome themselves first before they can overcome their opponents.

Go Saints.

If we can do this it will go a long way towards actually winning the game...

I just want to see that endevour to want to win in all the players and to respond to the challenges Geelong will through at us today, where ALL players stand up to be counted for.

Pumped for today, hope im not dissapointed

Go sainters!!!!!!!!!

/agrees with saintsRising.

I'd expect nothing less than the most ferocious start from a stkilda side in our history of afl/vfl.

I agree with the sentiment, but with our list and our available players if we put in a genuine 4 quarter effort - we should win by 5 goals.

I want a solid return from Goose and both sides to be attacking to give all a real gauge of where we are at. We can win, but if we dont there is no real shame in it.

I want the intensity, toughness, and the hunting in packs back, from 2004.

Not related but i just read that David Wojcinski didnt train yesterday, and Brent Prismall (emergency) did.

Also rumors that Joel Selwood may be rested.

And Wojcinski's pace can be devastating.

i want to see us play positive, attacking footy, as well as show some toughness in the midfield.

I won't see anythign because I have to work but I just want us to give a good account of ourselves today. I just want a good ahrd, physical four quarter effort.

i think if we can do this, we are a HUGE chance.

Unfortunately the cats will not be complacent today becuase they resepct us too much, unlike Melbourne. We need to be switched on and make a statement.

I want to see all that, plus no injuries/reports.
Is that too much to ask?

Really looking forward to watching it on the box today - we are not going to get any more injury free than this (touches wood)... with only Michael missing from our best 22, we have a very strong line up.. this is our chance to show the football world that we are FAIR DINKUM.

We will know exactly where we stand after today. Am a bit concerned that my rose coloured glasses will be smashed on the floor though....
