Anyway it is good to see that they are again giving a chance to players to take on new roles.
*Ferg gets his second game ina row to show that he can bea good forward.
There is a spot in the seniors here if he is good enough up forward...whereas down back there is huge competition fora HBF, BP spot.
*and Fiora is on the ball again.
Needs to lift his workrate/concentration to recovera spot in the seniors....and playing as an inside mid can only be beneficial. Possibly even as a tagger. Make or break time for Fiora.

Pressure, Intensity, Tackling. Their work at ground level and second efforts are what will set them above anyone else in the team. It's why i'm glad that I actually get to watch the game rather than listening, or just reading the goalkickers list.

Well I reckon a few of those that got less than 10 possessions last night should be made to saddle up today.....considering they did nothing last night they should be fit enough to front up again today on a nice cold, wet and windy Cranny footy field!
Now that is what I call a punishment training session!

It looks like Ferguson and Allen are two blokes playing for their own future rather than for the team.
It will be interesting to see if Ferguson passed to Allen inside 50 at any stage this afternoon.
Qtr Time
Casey 0.0.0
Collingwood 1.3.9
Geary, Jones, and Wall are providing good run out of the backline.
Big Mac is looking good too. Rix doesnt even look up to VFL level today.

They will be assessed against what the coach asks..and how they play...all relative to the conditions.plugger66 wrote:So how should we assess tall forwards today as it is wet and windy. Not ideal for Allen and Ferg. So what do they have to do today to give them a chance to get selected next week?
Ferg is alo not a tall forward.....and as a medium forward today is the type of day that you would want him to be one of your better forwards.

Half time stats show we have had just under 50% more disposals than Collingwood - 151 to 107.
Commetnators, Peter Donnegan and Andrew Thompson (our Board member) analysing the game.
Fiora had a lot of the ball but had done a number of things that a 'senior player' shouldn't do - like dropping marks.
CJ playing very well and Thommo mentioned that there have been questions about his skills but today, in these conditions his skills by either hand or foot have been excellent.
Third qtr just started.
