regarding the coach

Post: # 574505Post thejiggingsaint »

I'm as unimpressed as anyone with the results (and the manner in which we play) but at this stage feel it would be folly to do anything other than remain calm and allow the coach to do his job. I'm sure He's not deliberately losing games. It may well be that we need to take a step or so backwards before we progress and things can change rapidly with a few good wins. This coach has been given a three year deal; if he can't change us for the better by the end of this season, then we should be prepared to let his contract go for the final season while actively searching out another coach ...(Aussie Jones?)

I love aussie jones, but I dont think he is ready to coach AFL football.

I think he might be a good skills coach though.

Aussie Jones.."nowhere near ready"??? then the club should be moving heaven and earth to get him at the club in an assisting capacity NOW!!!
I would hate to see one of our own get picked up by someone else and have him coaching against us in the future

Has the Stkilda F.C ever employed a skills coach in it's history?

IMO what he is doing now (coach an u/18 team) will do him more good then being an assistant coach under Ross Lyon, I wouldn't mind seeing him do that for another year or so and then try and get an assistant coaching job under the like of Matthews, Malthouse or Worsfold etc.

barker is our forward coach...apparently

now great players don't always make good coaches and good coaches aren't always from great players.

Aussie Jones as skills coach - offer him a contract now.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

He is not ready to be the head coach, as a assistant, no problems at all however, i don't think he is a mate of Lyon, which is a prerequisit.

He has already won a senior flag at Narre Warren.

It will depend whether R Walls likes him or not

its funny how when we are doing poorly the rating of those not involved in the club is higher ..
is RL the right coach ?? who knows but ill back him til hes given the boot ..

im not happy with the state of our team but the rot go's deeper then the coach we have substandard players at this club who for on reason or the other are immune to getting dropped .. the true test of the remainder of the year is does RL try an Save face and keep up the same crap hoping we win enuff against the s*** sides to sit just outside the 8 or does he do the honest and right thing and give the season up and start the rebuild (not tanking) .

hard choices need to be made

Maxy isnt going to be part of our next premiership side time to move him out of full back and get his replacementin there (heck he might get 10 kicked on him but he will be closer to his peek for it who ever he is ? )

Harves has been a great servant for the club but he isnt going to be around to win a flag with us Armo should never be dropped while harvey has a spot in the team (not saying drop harvey but if the coach wants to give fizz a go it should be at bangers expence not armos)

G-Train should not play again he is too good of a player to have the crap he dishes out these days as the last memory we have of him

Gram should be dropped he has had 6 weeks to find form and hasnt done anything hes not a defenders ahole and should never ever be played there again .
dempster/ charlie there is a reason that they were freebies they are little more then training cones and shouldnt be in our starting 22

its time to give the kids a go play them at least 5 games straight each see who can cut it and who are just wasting time
