Amazing how many players are missing that before the bounce of round one people would have picked in there starting 22.

Then to a lesser extent (but people were optimistic about these players that either had a good pre season or solid season in 07)

To a lesser extent Leigh Fisher

That top 8 players for me are probably in our best 10 - 15 players (Gardiner was starting to show the form he's capable of) however the top two have looked so far away from being anything they promised for the season, then you take into account Riewoldt playing injured (well that's my assumption after watching him kick) and Montagna no longer having the impact he did last season and you can see why 4 of the last 5 games have been a struggle. The upside has been Goddard's successful comeback, Lenny and Bally finding some really solid form and Sam Fisher holding his own week in week out, we seem to have been shown a glimpse of what Armitage is capable of, now we just need a couple of weeks of sustained effort with an injection of youthful enthusiasm and hopefully we steer the season back on track.

For me the team I'd like to see play if fully fit would look something like:

HB: Brendon Goddard, Sam Fisher, Sam Gilbert
C: Xavier Clarke, Lenny Hayes, Robert Harvey
HF: Nick Dal Santo, Nick Riewoldt, David Armitage
F: Matthew Ferguson, Justin Koschitzke, Stephen Milne
Foll: Michael Gardiner, Luke Ball, Robert Harvey
I/C: Charlie Gardiner, Jason Blake, Eddy/Geary, Shane Birss

I've got a feeling my team preference has changed alot in 3 or so months.

I know Robert Harvey's an absolute gun; but having him play two positions at once may be asking a bit much
