I've copped so much flack from my friends for insisting he will be AA captain so the selectors better not make a fool of me

And the selectors are?

Reckon Tom Harley will be a show if he makes the team.

Nick would be a very worthy captain.

Agreed. Mind you half the forumites 6 or 7 weeks ago were calling for

a mutiny because he had no leadership qualities.

Makes sense - they've been the dominant team all year.

Scarlett, Chapman, Ablett, Bartel, Selwood, Milburn, Johnson, Corey

There's 8 of them who would be certainties.

Plus you could consider the fact they will have players go close such as Mooney, Enright, Mackie, Ling and Harley.

on..."on the couch", a couple of weeks ago they were talking about 14 of the girls making the aa side.......

Perhaps Chapman or Wojcinski? And remembering Egan, AA last year, who hasn't played at all this year, makes them good things for the flag.

But no side is unbeatable.

Mooney has been good, but was better last year.

Mackie is a star. Ling missed a month, so has Chappy.

HF: S. Johnson Franklin Chapman

FF: Bradshaw/Brown? Fevola Roughead

Bradshaw and Brown have lost form at the wrong time, but are still in the top 5 in the Coleman Race.

Add Mooney, Pavlich and possibly Medhurst on the bench, and Roo should be happy just getting to the team, let alone captain.

I think Judd will be captain, or possibly Brett Kirk, both of whom should slot into the midfield.

FB: Milburn Scarlett Lake
HB: Hodge Bock Corey
C: Richardson Mitchell Cooney
HF: S. Johnson Reiwoldt Franklin
FF: B. Harvey Fevola Bradshaw
Ruck: Cox Ablett Bartel

I/C: Hille Judd Black Enright
That's the way I'd go.

If any more Saints make the cut, it'd have to be out of Fisher and Hayes.

Here's a name from left field - Michael Firrito. On the few times I've seen the Kangaroos play, he has been very impressive. Like many Kangaroos players, he has improved slowly but surely over the years.

Agree....if he is coming out of contract at end of season IMHO he should be one the Saints are fishing for...though I don't know how old he is.
