What would members pay for a named seaford brick?

I wonder what people would pay to help the club pay for seaford to ensure a great training base for our players?

$4 per month from the bank account or credit card , for 2 years? ($96)???, to have a brick with your name? more? less?

I have to confess the way Essendon have done Windy Hill is classy.

I think it'd prove quite a hit with the fans, and would help build a nice link between the club and the supporters and provide some handy coffers.

Nice idea. I wouldn't want it to be too much though - it should an opportunity for your everyday Saints' fans to contribute without breaking the bank.

I paid $25 for a paver when my kids school was fundraising. We were able to put our own words and picture on them. Designed it on paper and I think they somehow lasered the image on to the paver.

Good point. The AFL and the City of Kingston screwed us over that one. What a complete waste. It's not like it was a complete hole like Victoria Park...most of the improvements needed were cosmetic, but alas the Club shuffles off to it's 4th home.

I have no interest in buying a brick at some god-forsaken site in a wasteland at Seaford that
- has no historical connection to our club
- we will never see a real game played there
- hence it will never have any relevance or history.
- and I don't expect I will ever visit it.

Moorabbin on the other hand
- is full of our history (remember when X did ....)
- is easy to get to (caught the train there on Friday fro the practise game - can you do that at Seaford ?)

I would gladly buy a seat or whatever from Moorabbin.
But no incentive to buy a brick at Seaford.
(Besides it would probably be stolen from the building site and thrown at the Frankston police station).

I believe Seaford has a train station in which the Frankston train stops at as it does at Moorabbin.

I have no problem with the direction the club is taking, but I can perfectly understand people not wanting to put in for what may not be our last ever home. After all, Moorabbin was to be our home for a minimum of 99 years, and look what has happened to that.

I would put in $100 for a brick, but I would like an agreement that I get my brick if and when the club leaves the area.

Seaford does have a train station, but Belvedere park is definately not within walking distance, unlike Moorabbin.

Does anybody still catch a train these days?

1st home - Alpaca Paddocks by the old St Kilda Train Station
2nd home - Junction oval
3rd home - Linton St

I was wondering about the Linton St bricks myself
Most of those bricks sold when the club was in huge trouble financially.
In reality they should be removed and transferred down to the new building. But can you see that happening?
Perhaps StFid can get on his bat phone to Archie and find out?
