one thing i noticed on the replay was roo wincing when he took a mark and landed on the leg that he had the op on...happened in the second quarter.......he then misses to the right from fairly close in.........none of the tv commentators pick up on it.......but i'm betting that his leg was a bit sore ....hence the poor shot at goal......

didn't seem to affect him when he kicked that clutch goal in qtr4.

Probably hurts all the time but mabye moreso when having the shot you refer to.

Anyone hear the same thing?

Yep,just listened to the R.Lyon conference on the AFL site. Said he was in bed all week and wasn't going to play, but wanted to be out there for Lenny. They kept him close to goal all day and rested him a few times because of it. they kept that one under the radar all week

Also said Max will be brought back into the side before the break.

Lyon said after game that he was in bed all week with a virus, impied that he dragged himself out there because of Lenny's 200th game. Great camaraderie amongst the team at the moment by the sound of things, good times...

Captain's goals.
Riewoldt and Brown both marked and kicked accurately late in the final quarter.
Riewoldt showed no yips when in mattered, he kicked a long goal from close to the boundary.

Fully explains why he was playing close to goal and not roaming far and wide as he normally does.

Spoke to a mate of his before the game ... Rooey was very crook, unable to lift his arms above his head and had some knee soreness too ... amazed that he played, and did so well.

Yep, work rate was well down today but he had some very important contributions. None more important than his goal in the 4th which was probably the biggest goal he's kicked so far this year.
