D'oh! You just lost $970.

Essendon in 2000 was the closest, losing one game.

Collingwood only lost the second semi in 1929. Under the finals system then, there was no prelim final and because they finished on top went into the GF anyway, which they won.

In 2000, Essendon only lost Rd 21 against Footscray - by 11 points.

 Oh yeah, I forgot Collingwood's perfect season in the '70's...Rene Kink kick 300 goals for the season and Ronnie Wearmouth cleaned up the Brownlow.

If it makes him happy, we did record the AFL/VFL's largest defeat against them in 1979.

No, I'm joking...sorry. Collingwood most definately did not have a perfect season in the '70's.

But the part about smashing us in '79, sadly, is true.

If he's including finals, you've won. If not, he's won...1929 was a perfect H&A season for the Filth. Technicalities.

Collingwood had a perfect season in 1976.

We beat them twice and they won the spoon. It doesn't get better than that.

Offer him $50 bucks to $1000 we will go undefeated if it doesn't pan out you will only be $30 out and if it does you get your hands on that grand that should have been yours.

Are you gonna be the one?

No team has ever gone through the entire home and away and then the finals undefeated.

Collingwood came closest in 1929.
They went undefeated through the home and away, but lost a semi final before finishing premiers.

Carlton in 1908, South Melbourne in 1918, Essendon 1950, Essendon 2000 all lost one game in the home and away but won all their finals matches.

bet him 1000 that st kilda go undefeated, ask for odds, if we do it, cash in, if we don't cut him, he's only a collingwood fan, and the average IQ of your social group will go up significantly once he's out of it :)

(No i wouldn't do that, just being an ass :D)
