General observation...

Post: # 849502Post True Blue Sainter »

Certain posters read too much into postings of others. Prime example being about the Brisbane delistings - people have been saying "Macdonald/Harding/Hooper/Roe could be a handy pick up" etc. Doesn't necessarily mean they're wanting to pick them up. Just considering them as an option. After all, a player with AFL experience is more likely to succeed than someone at pick 60 something who has just come out of the TAC cup...

Relax people, we're just tossing ideas around, not making definitive judgments.

It's all about risk and reward.

Taking a veteran player at pick 60 is the safe bet. They will probably have a body of work at AFL level, and therefore, you have a fair idea what you are going to get.

If you pick an 18 year old at pick 60, they could be great or never play a senior game.

s*** I thought they increased the list size to 200 so we could pick up everyones discards, as everyone posting here think these discards are the best players going around.

Here, here. A few too many have a lot of pent up frustrations and anger with life, that they're happy to take out on others on here. A chill pill would go down a treat, or maybe some extra fibre in their diets, or even a life outside of here!

Well put, True Blue.

Or too many are sick of ten posts a day saying such and such bloke got delisted and he's someone's cousin we should get him. And they think they are onto something. A lot of overating players that been let go on here.

The comparissons to Milne being a discarded rookie, therefore every other discarded rookie is worth a shot is BS. Milne was discarded from Essendon because at the time they had 6 good small forwards on their list and we picked him up because we had none.
