My chat with the Prez

Post: # 862653Post Animal Enclosure »

I had a great chat with Greg Westaway at a wedding last week, he's a lovely bloke & was only too happy to chat about the Saints.

He said Tommy Walsh is the most exciting thing he has seen in his time with the club. They're all very happy with his signing & what he can potentially grow into. Apparently he's done some pretty amazing things already, slotted a goal from about 60 out & then took a big grab over Kosi.

Go Paddy!

Thanks for the report....though I do not think the Irish at that keen on being called Paddy (perhaps one of our Irish fans can advise?

Call him Paddy and you will be Tommynated by the Tommynator.

When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Yes ....using a generic term like Paddy to refer to all Irish people is not PC and personally pisses me of ..it also shows a certain ignorance in the person using the term ...

Apologies to any I offended.

I did live in Ireland for 12 months & quite often referred to mates as Paddy... they didn't ever get offended by it, so I have never thought that it is a derogatory term.

I've got plenty of Irish heritage myself.

I suppose you cant say anything to anyone these days without someone being offended.

If you are writing to me - I am offended that you are writing to me.
If you are not writing to me - I am offended that you are not writing to me.

No doubt the Irish found your presence in their country offensive.
No doubt the Irish found your leaving of their lovely country offensive.

Why are you so offensive?
Stop being offensive.

I'm pumped for the 2010 season!!!!

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

Great to hear AE, thanks for the post.
At least he won't get all the hype and expectations on his shoulders, now that Nick Winmar is here, as well as probably Jesse Smith.
If either, or both, of Walsh and Smith do well next year (in the seniors) we could be laughing.

greg and the FF board are awesome.
no longer do we have a man who uses stupid words like 'extrapolate' and 'raw' in the media.
we have a man and a board who know what they are doing, which is nice.
