The likely pathetic condition of The Jihad Dome makes me think we should play only our bottom 6 senior players with the rest of the mob from the ressies.

No point in risking any of our silk on a dodgy Collo surface.

The AFL have basically said it will be a disgrace, but safe to play on.

Of course they'll say that, because they prob don't have a backup venue ready!

And it's 32 degrees tomorrow so now we will to worry about the quality of the surface have to do some heavy rotations as well as keep the players hydrated. Then the loser has to play in the heat of Alice Springs on a hard surface. Pretty rough pre season.

Has anyone seen vision of the ground on the news or similar?..or are we just assuming (perhaps correctly mind you) that if there was a concert Monday night its gonna look rough Fri night?

I've got the soccer on in the background. The ground looks disgusting, especially near the goal at one end (?approx CHF) and around the edges. Radio reports earlier said that they will spend much of next week re-surfacing !!

The only good thing is we're playing the Pies, so once Eddy sees the pics of the ground it will probably, miraculously, be completely fixed in 24 hours time.

There are "public access" sites on how to build bombs, break into cars and download illegal music and movies too...and were not about to allow links to them either.

At least one poster has been threatened with legal action in the past here after posting links to football highlights on his server

Watching the soccer tonight...the ground is absolutely rooted. I'd be nervous about any of our big guns playing on it tomorrow....

Think we'll hear a lot more about this tomorrow. It looked diabolical on TV and, with respect to the soccer fans out there, one would imagine the chances of injuries in an AFL game are far more significant.

Certainly looks like a Highway to Hell.
