Who now has a 'Man Crush' on Nick Riewoldt?

Post: # 893372Post Trunch »

Who wants to confess...

If you didn't before, you must now have a man crush on Nick Riewoldt after reading the article in todays Herald Sun. I love knowing that he has that much passion for our club.

Who will join me and own up to it. Who will stand with me and say

"I love our captain"

I must admit I wasn't sold on Nick Riewoldt for quite some time.

I think as late as 2004 I still didn't think he was the superstar the media made him out to be.

But from that point on he continues to earn more and more of my respect (which I'm sure is what he got into football for afterall  ) and about two years ago, I thought there is no way he can get better but he just keeps on improving.

By the end of his career I think it will be very interesting to compare Roo to Carey (on field only of course) as I think they will be VERY close. I just hope that lack of premiership success doesn't hold back Nick.

Can ladies step into this discussion?

Crush on both of the lads, especially as Kosi lays his head on Rooey's shoulder in that photo and Rooey lets him with Kosi's arm wrapped around the Roo's waist.

My estimation in both went right up, as it shows much it hurts

(and I know how they feel)

I know. You can FEEL the hurt. Doesn't it just make you want to wrap them both up in a big hug?

Yep, you got me.

It was Georgie Young in the 70's

Joffa in the 80's

Burkie in the 90's

Roo has transcended two decades for me. The 00's and 10's.

However CJ is threatening his throne.

Of course....Fraser and Harves....I'm going to flagellate myself for forgetting them.

Big fan of Ricey, David Grant and Frankie Peckett.

Dal Santo's more to my taste.

The way his socks are always perfectly placed in the middle of his shins...

Barks in the early 80's
Plugger in the late 80's
Cuz in the early 90's
Harvs through the 90's, shite all the way
Lenny and Roo now can't split them....

Do have a soft spot for BJ though, like Cuz before him, when he has the ball, stuff happens....

Jeff Dunne, "Super" Duper, Kiel (of course), BARKS, Joffa Cunningham, Greg Burns...Nicky winmar, Loewe, Aussie Jones, "Frankie" Peckett. Too many to mention...

But of course a HUGE man-crush on Rooey.Love the guy!

Also love Michael Roberts (from the Barks era). Loved hid work at Etihad on the "morning after" last year. He knew we were all hurting and so was he, but somehow made us all feel better.
PS great effort from the players to be there so long. Much better than the p*ssweak effort of the cats players after the '08 GF.

Loved Robbo at the B&F dinner too. The host with the most!
