Time for Stanley?

Post: # 903413Post battye »

No Riewoldt, no Kosi next week.

One option is McEvoy, I don't think he has shown enough to suggest that he would be useful in the forward line. I understand he has played forward in the VFL, but I don't think he is the answer.

Stanley showed in the NAB Cup he can take a strong mark, we know he's athletic. I think he would be a better fit in the forward line to be honest.

Gardiner and Goddard to float up forward as well.

As heartbreaking as it is that Riewoldt will be out for a while (and hopefully it is only a few weeks) this will present opportunities to some up and coming players and will also give RL the chance to see how other combinations will work.

My thoughts exactly! It's worth seeing how he goes in a proper game.

There is a big hole to be filled and I hope McEvoy steps up. Dont know much about Stanley.
One thing is for sure IMHO-- Zac has to go. He is the first scalp I have ever called for. Indecisive, waits for his opponent to move, gives away too many frees ( four last night) and his handball to nobody in the teeth of goal in the last qtr shows he had no idea or plan. Have ben watching him closely since the GF
