Booing the team off the ground?
Regardless of what the general AFL fan consensus on this is, I'm in favour of it.
The team needs to hear it from their own fans that this is just completely unacceptable. They promised us they would have the desire to win what they didn't win last year. I'm not seeing any evidence of that desire right now.
They are a top 4 team. Let them know that they at least are supposed to look like one, as opposed to a bottom 4 team.
BOO THEM SOUNDLY, I SAY!

Maybe chuck some stuff.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

That relies on the definition of "booing" someone or something requiring an audio stream.Sainternist wrote:A little difficult considering there is no audio media available from the forum.Raven wrote:Stupid thread. How about we boo you out of these boards?
But you can try it, I suppose
I'm sure we could just quote your every post and reply with "BOOOOOO" but it'd just fall on deaf ears (or eyes, as the case may be). It'd have as much effect as booing the players off the field.

I want to be supportive of the team Bernard... that's a different thing.Bernard Shakey wrote:You want to be supportive of that pissweak rubbish?OneEyedSainter77 wrote:Absolutely not.
Disgusting thread.
Be supportive for f**** sake.
Back on topic, the game was terrible yes - we haven't been very good at all for the last three weeks - yes - but I will NEVER boo my own team... that's absoluitely appalling behaviour.
When I started here, people would tell me I'm not a real supporter because I don't pay money for a membership, but I would never do something as negative as boo the team - that to me is a little more meaningful than forking out money for memberships every year. i hate poeople that think that you're not a real supporter unless you buy a membership.
I love this club just as much as anyone, I bleed for them and everything and excuse my language but f*** YOU if you're gunna say otherwise.
You don't see me going out there putting my nuts on the line so why should I boo the team like a petulant bad sport when they put in a shocking performance like tonights?
We're not Collingwood or Richmond supporters!

No, there have been far worse threads.SainterK wrote:Why stop there, let's empty our chips and pour our drinks on them, and spit while they walk down the race?
Worst.thread.ever
Who said anything about throwing and spitting at them? Your words, mate.
Nothing wrong with letting them know that they are playing like shyte and we are annoyed as supporters.

Wasn't there tonight but it doesn't bother me one bit that there were boos. We need to show our disapproval in some way.
Shouting "well done boys, we're still proud of you win, lose or draw!! wooo carn saints" and I'm sure there were some typical happy-clappers who did just that, isn't the message we need to send.
Like anyone who's done something wrong, even if they know they're wrong, they need to be told.
Absolutely abject tonight.
Disgraceful.

I haven't thrown in the towel, but I am so sick of losing, I am so sick of just when we look like we have a chance something goes wrong and we don't succeed.
Even last year, we have a dream season, but, unfortunately there is this other dominant team called Geelong who are playing in their third GF in a row.
I have watched so many of my friends who suppoert other teams enjoy winning apremiership, just wondering if it will ever be my turn to enjoy my team doing it.
Tonight was completely unacceptable and cannot be tolerated, sorry, but if you want to ein a premiership, you have to be ruthless with that kind of performance.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.
I'm loathe to boo players, I can't see it helping them. They need to know that we still believe in them.

Unless you can tell categorically that they are dogging it, but this group has been bloody committed and bleed just as we do
