What position DID he PLAY ? LET me refresh your memory YES IT WAS KOSI and it wasn't as a RUCKMAN nor a FORWARD , ANSWER a DEFENDER yes thats right a defender, every notice when he his thrown down back from time to time how comfortable he looks so CENTRE HALF BACK HIS IS POSITION ,

The obvious issue being that he has the turning circle of a beached blue whale and is useless once the ball hits the ground. He can play as the ruckman drifting back to help out, but I wouldn't want to assign him an opponent.

Kosi is too slow for CHB.
And besides marking he can't do anything else.
Would be horribly exploited.

Would make more sense to move Roo to CHB where he could be our play maker (without the pressure of having to kick goals).

And move Goddard to CHF.
He is the best kick in our side.
He thrives on pressure.
He is a natural leader.
I'd give him the captaincy as well.

Have you seen Kosi play the past few years. That would be a recipe for disaster. [/list]

He only takes a mark 10% of the time without dropping it, and he doesn't have milne, and shnides to clear it for him, once he drops it! It would be dangerous!

Actually, I think you'll find he won it in 2001.

Kosi really should only be used as a ruck who drifts forward. He is no CHB and is no FF.

the kosi for CHB argument is one of the most used and abused arguments on SS. It has made many a comeback/

the fact is the game has changed a lot since 2002. The old fashioned kick and mark CHF back then covered heaps less ground and was still predominantly a lead mark kick player.

the times have changed and when times change u get winners and losers.
the games change has led to the revitalisation and extension for guys like jason blake - who was on the verge of being cut in 2002 but who is suited to the new game because of his big engine.

and when there are winners there are losers. kosi cant play 2010 footy except as a pinch hitter in the ruck with the occassional pack mark in the fwd line.

As we age we get slower. I am sure Lou Richards can't run (if possible) as fast as he was when 19.

Great theory though...

Agree but should be horses for courses so FF at times.
Kosi needs to be re invented. His options are rather limited and this is the only viable option. Either that or trade him.

There's not many things I'm absolutely sure of but one I am totally sure of is Kosi is way too slow to play CHB.

Not to mention about the slaughter that would happen whenever the ball hit the ground.

I mean what a Russian Roulette Strategy it would be:

* Ball kicked high into forward line

> Kosi marks. Ball rebound
> Kosi spoilsls...ball gathered by opposition - goal!!

* Ball kick to leading forward:

> Ball marked by leading forward and Kosi arrives late to make position on the mark.

Kosi can now only play as a FF or No2 ruck...and I fear not well enough at either role.

Flying the World in comfort thanks to FF Points....
