To be honest, Joey is not a surprise. Photos from training during the week showing a large ice bag on his calf was never going to end well.

Kosi is a bit more surprising. Why bother naming him at all. Looks like our forward line will be a mosquito fleet tonight, looking something like this:

HF: Siposs Roo Schneider
FF: Milne Gamble Steven

They said that late in the week they werent sure if he would get up but were hopeful and were giving him to last minute to prove his fitness.. As soon as Gamble didnt play at Sandy i had feeling that Kosi wouldnt play.

Heres the pic of Joey

like the look of that - aside from the spine!
roo plays to high up as a half forward because he has no confidence in kicking from >40m.
gamble - needs to toughen up and get involved

I actually prefer that forward line.

I do worry about big Mac though. Long night awaits for him.

Luckily its only Warnock and Spud OHaiplin as their rucks. Blake should be able to out ruck the Spud.. But yea Mac will have a fair night trying to get a hitout against Man Mountain MKII

Dunno.

Joey has been hiding a sore leg for a couple of weeks.

SEN said it was a rumour, SEN probably read it here.

The photo from stkildathunda says it all :!: Posters from last week said that Montagna could hardly move on the training track.

I have said all along that Kosi's ankle was more serious than the club was letting on. I know that they like to play their cards close, but Kosi has a long term problem, so why not admit it and provide supporters with a realistic prognosis. If they think that they are fooling opposition clubs, then they should think again.

If it is, why not put him out to pasture, play Stanley and elevate Walsh.

Surely, if his ankle is shite, he's really, really gone.

If you watched the brisbane game kosis foot was accidently trodden on
near the boundary line in the goal square. that kind of bruising could
take a couple of weeks to heal.

SO.....Smith (or Winmar) and Gamble in then??
Kosi is no loss but joey is a huge loss, when he is up and about so is the whole team, could prove a costly loss.

Don't think it is 'that' injury that is the concern.

As per an above post his on-going ankle issue is far greater than what the club has led on. Was very surprised he was picked (and) played v the Lions....aside from having his ankle tramped on he was moving like the QE2....

Perhaps playing the second half of last year with the ankle issue has really stuffed it...
