Benny Mac the Key !!
If Benny Mac can come close to "halving" the contests with Mumford and neutralizing 1st use of the ball I think we will win this final. IMHO this is the most vital match up of the match !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

He has gone to Rooey in the past so it will effect them. Let's hope that he gets well soon and we beat whoever they put out there tomorrow night !!bobmurray wrote:How much does Grundy out with Glandular Fever affect them.....

Love the improvement Ben has shown this year but as a tap ruckman he is dreadful.
With Sydney relying so much on winning stoppages we can't allow Mumford to give his midfielders first use of the ball.
Gardiner must play.
Playing 2 ruckmen at the cost of a running player and fewer rotations might be the way to go for this match only.
Go Saints.

Mumford and Goodes are their match winners. Get on top of both and we should win !
If Macca was crook last time, as we have been told, let's hope that he is in rib-tickling health tomorrow night! Last week with Gardi providing some respite, was a good move. That Gardi has not been selected, indicates the Macca is OK.

Grundy has been a vital cog in their back 6 for a couple of years. Him missing WILL effect them !!bergholt wrote:why? richards beat riewoldt hands down just three weeks ago. why do they need grundy?Eastern wrote:He has gone to Rooey in the past so it will effect them.bobmurray wrote:How much does Grundy out with Glandular Fever affect them.....

Re: Benny Mac the Key !!
This time Ben will have back up in the form of Kosi, who missed the last match with gastro. We may see more of him in the ruck than usual, particularly if Mumford starts well.
IMO if we'd wanted to play Gardi, either Kosi or Ben would have had to make way.

macca himself said he was sick and maybe he should not have played.Junction Oval wrote:Mumford and Goodes are their match winners. Get on top of both and we should win !
