Is B4E's name Guy?

Maybe this is a lame attempt to guilt us back to Moorabbin.

You can understand Guy's frustration however, the ball was put squarely into the Council's court once they stuffed around our club for years whilst we tried to get a deal done..

We gave this stinking council 5 YEARS to give us permission to develop the ground and facilities.

Five long years dealing with the smallest-minded people that exist on the Planet Earth - otherwise known as local councillors.

We did everything they could POSSIBLY want and it still wasn't enough.

They had every SINGLE opportunity to keep the Saints at a fantastic modern facility at Moorabbin.

We should let the ground rot.

We should let it fall down.

We should let weeds grow as high as the fences.

We should let rats infest the buildings.

We should block the toilets and flood the place with sewage.

We should spend one cent less than nothing to maintain it for the next 35 years.

We should make this ignorant rabble of local government pay for their mistake every single day for the next three decades.

It should burn in their memories.

Absolute stupid, incompetent bunch of half-witted, tree-hugging, arse-lickers.

Enjoy your weeds you suckers.

They could always come down here to Geelong and witness how a Council really gets behind it's team and shares in its success.

Then look at Linton Street and see how they completely cocked things up!

I agree completely with Legendary, but I will just make this point: The previous Labor government promised $2M to do up Cheltenham and Moorabbin Footy grounds if re-elected, perhaps if the locals had voted Labor it might not be a problem.

And If they had got rid of their incompetant councillors when they had the opportunity, the Saints would still be there, and everybody would have been happy.

You elected them...... suck it up Princesses.

who ever is at fault, i'm sad that moorabbin is the way it is now. i live not far away (hughesdale) and went down there on the weekend with my son to buy him a jumper (best time of the year for it). it just looks crap. i'm not surprised that the locals are pissed off. don't know why they can't pull the fences down, clear any crap out, give what's left a lick of paint and open it up to let people have a kick on the oval.

Why should the club divert money and resources away from their spanking new facility in Seaford to the dilapidated shack they were driven away from by Kingston Council?

The council's mess, the council's problem, residents should be taking matters up with them.

i agree the saints spent a fortune on architects and proposals and the council agreed, then made a minor change, the proceeded, then blocked etc.

the saints didn't want to move, we had a subsidy from the state government that would have seen millions poured into the area.

I believe in the rule of law, and from what we saw, the saints would make the amendments the council wanted, and then the council would change the rules.

Its 100% the councils fault.

Well said Legendary, Dan Warna and others.

The Kingstoned Council should hang their heads in shame.
And we should do the bare minimum to honour our contract and leave the ground to decay into an eyesore.

But we should also erect big signs at the gates explaining that it is Kingstoned Council's fault 100%.

Unfortunately the councils are toothless special interest groups design to siphon money out of the tax payers wallets. That is if they aren't affiliated with developers which have their own rubber stamps made.

Moorabin as a suburb is a bizarre spectacle, it is like it has frozen in time while the suburbs around it have gone up in value and desirability. How can the suburb surrounded by Brighton East Bentleigh sandringham etc. still be so run down. I can't imagine. Maybe because they scare any one away that might want to improve anything.

Strange concept, maintaining facilities that we don't use anymore.
