Trivia Question.
My son went to as trivia night last night, and the question was "Name the St Kilda u/18 player who went on to play cricket for Australia?"
The obvious answer is Shane Warne, but it got me thinking about the other St Kilda players who have played cricket for Australia. Simon O'Donnell and Keith Miller come to mind.
In that great receptacle of knowledge that is SS, does anyone know if either of those two guys played u/18 for the Saints, or anyone else further back that would fit the criteria?

Re: Trivia Question.
I don't believe we have ever had an Under 18 team. it was always Under 19. In which case the correct answer is nobody.
I don't think SOD had to work his way up through the ranks at St Kilda. He was the boom recruit who may have gone straight to the senior team.
Others are before my time.

Re: Trivia Question.
I think our other Test players all came from the Senior Team. Warnie was the only one who never made it.kosifantutti wrote:I don't believe we have ever had an Under 18 team. it was always Under 19. In which case the correct answer is nobody.

So I agree with you kosi that the question is incorrect and it should be "Name the St Kilda u/19 player who went on to play cricket for Australia"
Re: Trivia Question.
The trivia question should be.
Which role would Warney play on Gilligan’s Island?
Jonas Grumby (The Skipper)?
Played by Alan Hale Jr.
Also known as Alan Hale Mackahan
Warney skippered the Rajasthan team.
Roy Hinkley (The Professor)?
Played by Russell Johnson
Also known as Russell Johnson B.S., M.A, Ph D.
Warney was the professor of spin.
Thurston Howell the third (The Millionaire)?
Played by Mr. Magoo
Also known as Jim Gilmore Backus
Warney probably has many millions.
Gilligan?
Played by Maynard G. Krebs
Also known as Bob Denver
Insert your comments.

Re: Trivia Question.
From all we hear I think Warnie may have prefered to have 'played' Mary-Ann and Ginger...

Add Sam Loxton to the list.
