Dempster
I know it should probably go in the all-australian thread but what a player! Said on a radio a couple of weeks that he'd be glad just to make our team's 22 tells what a type of bloke he is. To believe he was only steak & knives in the Sydney deal!.. I'm going to say his been our best trade ever. Always had faith in him. What a champ! Well deserved.

A great honour, well done Sean!!!
Along with the Sniderman and Gardi, I would have to say are easily the best pick ups in the RL era of recycled players!!!

Re: Dempster
Interesting stat is Schnieds has 3 games to go and Dempster 13 games to go for both of them to reach 100 games for the StKFC.

Depends whether we’re looking at the actual player or the trade.GoSaintersGo wrote:And so does Aaron Hamill.Sobraz wrote:Fraser Gehrig says hi...noob wrote:I'm going to say his been our best trade ever.
Hamill cost us pick 4 and Gehrig cost us David Sierakowski and pick 18 (used to draft Daniel Kerr).
So “Steak knives” Dempster is arguably our best trade.
Re: Dempster
i am very pleased for him.......our big 7 just gained an 8th member

Re: Dempster
Always found it amazing that in the 2009 Grand final he played as a defensive forward and had no impact on the game at all.
His selection in that grand final side proved to be a big mistake as it was a role he wasn't capable of playing.
Full credit to him and to Scott Watters to change his game aroud to the point where he has become an All Australian backman.

You cant remember last year?
Re: Dempster
Wasn't nearly as attacking last year.
Playing a different role this year.
New coach has made him a much better player.

They must have just given extra votes in the B&F last year. KB said today he was talked about last year as well in the AA squad. Has been good now for 2 or 3 years now.
Re: Dempster
Different people voting.
Dempster says it himself "Probably over the last few years my way of contributing to the team was more of a defensive role, but since Scott's come to the team and from Day 1 he gave me confidence in the other areas of my game that I haven't really realised and used over the last few years.
But of course you know better.

I dont know better but this rewriting of history about RL as coach amazes me.
Re: Dempster
I'm a huge Lyon fan but fact is some players are better under new coach and others have backwards.
In my opinion Dempster happens to be a better play under Watters.
