Draft Hopefuls .....Tim Membrey

Post: # 1272376Post Middo »

Tim Membrey is the kid I'm hoping we pick up in the draft .....Watching this kid play suggests he can be that player we need that can win you a game of his own boot ..
Big time player .....

Thoughts on who you think we need ...???

Membrey looks alright, similar type to Crameri and Darling. Power forward who plays a lot taller than he is. I think chook 23 is right though, Lee plays a different role to Membrey however he's been at his best as a forward like Membrey. I think we will focus on midfielders and defenders this draft, not forwards.

Trust me, the boy will be a gun. Remember his age, give him time to develop, but he will make a gun player. The best player in a top team this year.

Looked great when I saw him play against Sandy in the prelim. Depends on how the trading goes. If we get all talls we will need to draft mids especially if one is still the best available.

Was that the game where he kicked 8 ...?
Just think we may get a chance to pick him up with our first couple of picks...

Membrey is good so is stringer so is Jaksche. It will be really interesting to see who goes where. GWS and GC both seem to have a decent spread of mids and talls but possibly will both go the best tall as they are less likely to make it than mids. We won't need to go too many talls with this one if we get Brown and I think we need to start getting the succession plan in place for Lenny, Dal, Joey etc. I really can't work out which order they will go in this year, could be a few that go earlier than expected and some real drifters. Some had Lee top 10 some had him 3rd round so really strange how differently rated they are. Some have Hrovat in the 30s some in the top 10. some have Calquhoun top 20 some in the 50s?

Yep it was. His only problem will be height. Not quite big enough to play as a CHF but FF can be smaller if they are fast off the mark. One game isnt enough to see that.
