Dont see the point of persevering with Farren unless its toget his trade value up.
Guys in his prime and is average at best, got plenty of kids that could take his spot as a mid, or flanker
Would much rather see Dunnel, Ledger, Shenton, Minch, Murdoch in

Haven't seen more than the televised game this year so I'm not sure but a few have been calling for him to be in so he must be doing something right. I'm surprised Curren doesn't get elevated temporarily while we have some LTIs he seems to be doing everything he can to get a go.

Considering Dempster, simpkim and fisher are same height as Roberton and Gilbert 3cm taller I wouldn't say we're that tall.
Gilbert is taller than Riewoldt and same height as Maister. Regardless of height, it's how you play.
So we have 3 talks IMO or we could add 2 more to the list.
In all realization having 7-8 players over 6'3 in a game isn't tall especially when you expect a FF CHF FB CHB and ruck and backup to be big... So 6 plus always over 6'4?
We are short and inexperienced

Yeh i dont think he earned another week in, but maybe they think it will be a night for the new forwards like Daw vs the Dogs... also leaves Roo to run a muck?magnifisaint wrote:Why the F*** did they leave Maister in?

It's amazing that guys like Wilksey, Hickey get a run after such a crap game last week.ShanghaiSaint wrote:Yeh i dont think he earned another week in, but maybe they think it will be a night for the new forwards like Daw vs the Dogs... also leaves Roo to run a muck?magnifisaint wrote:Why the F*** did they leave Maister in?
But unlike most coaches Watters doesn't like making many changes week to week.
Perhaps he believes this week is a week for stability as we really should be looking to beat the dogs.

They obviously wanted a tall in and you could never have Kosi and Hickey in the same side. Not in this life time anyway.

Re: Round 9 Teams - St Kilda v Western Bulldogs
Was hoping for a few fresh legs in. Wondering if we will run out this game. Lenny in is a big plus. Maister perhaps was brought in a week early and hopefully will have a big game. And Ray I'm happy to have in the side.

Re: Round 9 Teams - St Kilda v Western Bulldogs
The only indigenous player on our list didn't get a game for the Indigenous Round. We have had some brilliant indigenous players over the years, but at the moment our stocks are almost empty. I get the feeling we will have none on our list at the end of the season.

Not sure if Milera is going to make it as a senior player now- he hasn't really gone the next step since last season and is unfortunately looking like a skilled fringe player similar to TDL.

Re: Round 9 Teams - St Kilda v Western Bulldogs
Markovic dropped after 5 goals in 2 games… Cross dropped…
Markovic, Cross & Wallis emergencies, are they going to swing a couple of late changes do you think?
This could be a close game, we've had a similar draw so far and we're averaging less than a goal a game more than them in points scored, but they are conceding 3 goals more per game on average.
I watched them against the Cats a few weeks ago and they were pretty good, that said their other matches this year have been pretty ordinary.
This could be the "Clanger Cup"

Well lets assume Watters is more knowledgeable than us.desertsaint wrote:Was hoping for a few fresh legs in. Wondering if we will run out this game. Lenny in is a big plus. Maister perhaps was brought in a week early and hopefully will have a big game. And Ray I'm happy to have in the side.
Maybe the effort was so soft last week that most of the guys are fresh enough for this week?
