Was written off far to early, and easily, by many on here. Looking forward to the replay. He kicks with precision and penetration.

Easily in our top 10 players.
But we need another 6 gun players to come in to our club.

Maybe he is more than just the steak knives part of the Big Mac deal.

I think we won that deal.

The Pelican knows his stuff.

Saints looking like a bottom 4 team in 2024.

The turn around in his form this year has been incredible! It's like watching two completely different players.

It smacks of a player that may have been carrying an injury of some sort.....

took awhile and I think we all judged too soon. Hard to change teams and get adjusted. He is 22? will be very servicable. Today showed he is worth it.

His first six games he averaged 12 touches and kicked exactly one goal. I think we were well within our rights to be a bit dubious about him.

The last three games he's doubled his possession average - to 24 touches - and kicked 2 goals. He's playing twice as well as he was earlier in the year, great to see.

Quite laughable that we were mocked widely and on here for the trade. Dunstan/ savage and a two spot upgrade to secure acres, for a bloke who is running in the vfl for the past month

Well - lets not feel too full of ourselves or smug . FFS.

Maybe we had a small win in on this particular trade. But I think we should have some humility if we want to compare our trading performance with the Hawks.

Laughable to think otherwise.

Savage looks good and god knows we need midfielders. Our next job is to find him a few mates.

Yeah we wouldn't want to be too quick to praise the club for a win in a trade would we? After all, that wouldn't support the narrative that they don't know what they are doing......

Was written off because of very poor performances in the seniors, then extended time at Sandrigham.

Very fair calls.

You think people writing him off was fair? Doubting him, fair enough. But writing him off?? We are so quick to eat our own. He has been at the club 1 minute for gods sake.

It seems to me against Richmond he played off the HBF was this the same yesterday?
It might be more about his role that is the reason for his form.

True Wally. It must be tough to be a small forward (or any forward) in our team.

While his senior performances early on were less than impressive and his demotion to the Zebras a cause for concern, the main issue with people "writing him off" was that they were doing so in the first half of his first season at the club.

He's still a young man and he had shown a bit with the Hawks. There was probably always going to be a period of adapting and settling in.

Obviously a lot of players come into a club who ultimately don't make it. However we don't always need to judge the newbies so quickly.
