Re: Matt Finnis B&F Speech
Sounds good, although to be fair, anyone would be better than the idiot we had previously. One of the things about the "CEO" industry is that they are never held accountable for lamentable decisions and management. And yes, I know there is a board there, but those of us who have actually sat on boards know that basically the CEO calls the shots, as they have to. But for $700,000+ per year, you expect something better than a fit guy in a suit who is an airhead.

Meh.....
Not difficult to read a pre-prepared speech.
I'm looking forward to seeing some action. I think the whispers around the Junction Oval are positive, and I like this Saints Future Fest initiative, it's a decent way to keep us relevant thru the finals.

Re: Matt Finnis B&F Speech
He's making the right noises.
Seems to have a decent grasp of what the club's issues are, which is better than the past few CEOs, who seemed intent on creating more.
Think he's light on for decent talent around him, however. Needs to build a small army of good administrators who can take the club forward for the next 20 years.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Re: Matt Finnis B&F Speech
Certainly said the right words.
No reason why he won't put it into action. He seems to be a doer, and by all reports he did a very good job with Players Association

I like the fact he isn't just a corporate career man who uses it as sideline for his business interests. Finnis was very good at the AFLPA and I expect he will go in very hard as his vision is a career in the AFL industry so wants it to work much more.

Great point. Hopefully if he's good he'll stick around for more than just 3 years as a career stepping stone.gringo wrote:I like the fact he isn't just a corporate career man who uses it as sideline for his business interests.
