Our tackle count in the second quarter

Post: # 1551185Post saintspremiers »

From The Age:

"The Saints responded in the second quarter by laying 36 tackles for the term which, to provide context, was one more than Carlton laid for the entire night against Geelong on Friday."

Is that a record? Massive number. Warms the heart with the reference to Carlscum also

That tackle count is a fantastic number and shows our enthusiasm and commitment.

We just have to learn to be more efficient once we get the ball.
Better skills will hopefully come with maturity.

How do you find out?

12 frees, but could of been for other stuff not rewarding the tackler

Fairly sure it's not. We were paid at least one that I can remember and they paid advantage, near the 50 meter arc. Maybe Hickey the tackler?

The umpires, when they over- officiate, like they did today, spoil games. I, for one, may have to stop attending games vs the Eagles, as their ducking and milking for frees is so totally against the spirit of the game that I get really filthy just watching it.

Your friendly neighbourhood samurai.
