Re: GWS/Bruce
The thing is, they won't even use pick 48 anyway... Still, as a matter of principle, we'll just take him in the PSD. They could have on-traded pick 41 for a handy, mature bodied type to play whilst their young brigade develop. They will use it on Lamb from the Swans I think. Not a bad trade in the ...

Well done Jaxons. It gives the site some credibility and is appreciated by a huge amount of Posters.
Amen to that.

Couldn't care less if our players were idiots had they won a flag.
Likewise mate.
The whole thing that AFL players are supposed to be some sort of role models is ridiculous as well.

Re: AFL Picks 1-20 Contenders
If ( massive If ) GWS took Scharenberg would Melbourne still be keen on Kelly? With some handy tall forwards already at GWS, and Scharenberg likely to turn into a Goddard type player, they'd hardly be crazy to go down that path. Well, Melbourne have Dawes, Clark, Hogan, Watts and Fitzpatrick... so ...

Re: Saints Chasing David Myers
Myers isn't a free agent. And didn't we use free agency to our advantage last year? We lost a player who wanted to leave and in exchange picked up Hickey, a potential ten year ruckman.
What has making a trade for Hickey got to do with free agency?
We got Hickey with the compensation ...

Re: Saints Chasing David Myers
Just hope the Saints can do as well and use th free agency to our advantage for once. Myers may be a good prospect but with the guilatine hanging over Ess. and the anti-drug people probably very keen to make an example of them trading or sourcing players from the bummers may be a bad move. Myers is...

Thanks for the memories Kosi! The tough pack marks, the accurate, long kicking at goal and the bone-crunching tackles. Your loyalty to your mates and the club wsa unwavering. When you turned it on, you were virtually impossible to contain. You did the famous #23 proud, and had a fantastic career, es...

Re: Leave your tributes here for Blakey - to be printed
It's having a group of players like Jason Blake that help win premierships - totally focussed, 100% determined and willing to sacrifice his own game for the greater good of the team. You could slot in to any role the coach asked and perform admirably, even if vastly undersized like the game you outp...

Milney... You will go down in history as one of the great pure small forwards of VFL/AFL history. Your abiltiy to bring the Saints faithful to their feet, whislt instilling fear into the minds of opposition supporters was unrivalled. Your ability to extract a goal out of almost any situation was jus...

As I said.... The advantages of youth. A young Michael Slater was carefree and exuberant ..... Then he was dropped, and became a tormented soul for the final years of turbulent career. Young Agar, looks relaxed and even better, talented! Better than Slater at what? Surely after one innings we arent...

I reckon we play hard ball with WCE. Pick 3 & Nathan Wright for Brad Dick & Mitch Brown. GET IT DONE SCOTTY Come on mate, get serious! For that deal to be anything close to realistic, we'd need to throw in say, Dal Santo & Steven, whilst we get a reasonable player back in Bradd "Ra...

Hypothetical situation...
Good evening all. Was just pondering our ruck situation at the moment. Now, let's say by the end of 2013 season, we've seen signs that Tom Hickey is ready to assume the #1 ruck mantle, Rhys Stanley stays injury free and is capable of playing the ruck/forward swingman role, whilst Lever & Staley ...

Re: Does Roo back solve the problem?
No, why would we move him back?
Robbing Peter to pay Paul.
I have no doubt that he would play reasonable football at CHB (in a third man up sort of role), but I'm not sure if he would be able to man mark efficiently.

Re: Saints Should Target Ben Jacobs from Port Before Caddy?
Jacobs is a neat and tidy player. Nice left foot, can run and carry, and isn't too bad overhead. Would be a very shrewd pick up for the right price. He can find the ball too. I think that we could do with a few players around that 20-22 bracket who've spent a couple of years of development in the sy...

Played a few games with Stef in the U/19s at OHAFC. Huge leap, very athletic, can take a mark and has learned a few of the nuances of the game in recent years too... The League B&F (like the Brownlow) was done on a 3-2-1 basis. Stef polled 29/30 votes. Smashed it. He would rove his own ruckwork ...
