Totally legitimate whinge in my view.

Seemed a mid season 'rule emphasis' was imposed before that game.

If it did, is that not a form of corruption?

The rules are the rules. What is blind-eyed one week should be blind eyed for the year.

Re: Milne and OBrien investigation

Further to that, all workplaces aren't the same and probably should not be. A lot of people choose to be in their work places because they enjoy the environment for all sorts of reasons. And that attitude allows bullies to take over in certain workplaces. Have you not read the stories of young appr...

Re: Milne and OBrien investigation

I knew I shouldn't have read these posts, but anyway I did and again I am disappointed and angry by the the tone of most posts. Milney is my hero and his posters abound in my home, but there is no way i can defend him on this. He has said the wrong thing and he needs to think about what he can say....

Westaway has so far overseen one of our most historically significant periods.

Misplaced anger by some he can't split football from the business of football.

Re: Milne and OBrien investigation

One day Harry O'Brien will get absolutely crunched in marking contest. Evil as it may seem, I must admit the thought comforts me. That aside watching Harry go to water in the drawn GF is the first thing I think of when he comes into view. That game wasn't drawn, he would be the stuff of historical m...

It's ridiculous that a player gets dropped for that crap. PC God Bothering do gooders are wrecking the game. Still filthy that Jack got dropped. With you. Mind you he deserves to be LAMPOONED, suspended and possibly even locked up for that farking ridiculous tea cosy on his noggin. And give him an ...

Re: Harry O'brien decision incorrect - AFL

There were other players that BJ could have gone to but but he chose Armo and if you watch the replay he has to really stretch out his right arm to collect the ball but by that stage he was already slowing down because the whistle had blown. But had the whistle not blown then he would have been run...

Re: Harry O'brien decision incorrect - AFL

Am I misssing something. So if the free hadn't been paid it sounds like from all the carry-on that we would have certainly won the match. I'm pretty sure the 'carry on' stems from the unusual circumstances of an incorrect decision legitimately determining the result of the game. Multiple Saints nea...

We didn't lose the game because of the obrien free , we lost it cos as usual the same players made the same poor skill errors when under pressure ! however in regard to milne taking his eye off the ball . Any player who doesn't take their eye off the ball when running with the flight of it is reckl...

Laughable umpiring. The time lag makes it even sillier.

It's almost as if a someone got in his ear and said 'TV mikes picked up a swearword, And D unhappy, fifty against Milne NOW'.

What can you do?

Re: Where are the umpire apologists tonight?

A decision like that simply cannot do anything other than affect the result. doesn't the same apply the other way? assume he was unsighted, but it looked like milne might have made contact. what if he doesn't blow the whistle, the saints kick the goal, and then the replay shows that milne hit harry...

Re: Where are the umpire apologists tonight?

There is no such thing as a technical free kick. And if there were frees paid for incidental contact the game would go for ten days instead of two hours. The umpire choked in the heat of the moment. A little fuse went snap. And having such a critical error occur so close to the game effectively canc...

Re: Where are the umpire apologists tonight?

No one seems to make mention of the Rioli/Duncan holding the ball on Friday night too. At least the umpire didn't speculate in those circumstances. He did in our game. Many decisions can influence an outcome. I have NEVER in all my years of watching football ever seen one single umpiring error actua...

Hmmm Could see the Bombers losing every game and ending with 11 wins. The Tigers and Blues games the only two I give them a chance in, so anywhere from 11-13 wins. They've been thumped by 11+ goals in 3/4 last games. There's another spot that opens up in the 8 IMO. Geelong still not cert. either. T...

Anyone that thinks that our ruck division is the reason we are not battling for 1-3 on the ladder is on some seriously dangerous amounts of drugs.
