Excellent post. Fantastic to see it all laid out like that. And mightily encouraging to see that there is still time for players to a) play their best football and b) evolve. Hayes only 28 - feel like i've been watching him since I was a toddler!! Some comments: Gwilt - I think he's been a pretty re...

Of course the list and performances will be looked at. That is a given.

But personal abuse and mean-spirited barking is not helpful nor warranted.

Opinion is one thing. Ill-informed ranting about who should be traded for what is for fools.

The strength of that list is that Dempster and Blake have been overlooked. We have a good, hard, seasoned group, a mix of not-too-old and new. Speed, clearance work, and footskills need to be a priority. Probably need to inherit speed. Kicking is practice. Clearances can be improved with Ball and Ba...

Moving on

This morning I've trawled through some serious crap on the site. A well rested second placed team coming of 15 days break beat a distant but tenacious fourth placegetter with only 6 days rest. Disappointing, yes. Surprising? Absolutely not. We have a list that is still evolving (development of Jones...

They one five more games during home and away. They were better all year. They have a highly skilled, very physical and very even list.

They also had 15 days break before the prelim. We had 6.

Get over it, d**khead. We got done by a better team on the night.

What a pack of cowards you all are lining Kos up from the safety of your keyboards. You'd think the guy ran out last night purely and simply to aggravate you. Kosi is one of many who looked absolutely buggered against a team coming off a fifteen day break. Jesus... He's a Saint. That's enough for me.

Brian Lake - a fullback - was the Dogs best. That speaks volumes.

Bateman is a superb runner whose athleticism and mobility is his biggest asset (hair aside). If he is hampered in any way, it can only be good for us if he plays. I suspect they won't play him. Croad won't play. The last thing they need against us is a hobbled backman. Gilham is named as an emergenc...

Maxy to Franklin?

Must say I think this is a very tasty match up. He loses a little in height, but he's athletic and quick enough to really annoy Buddy out of it I reckon. He's determined. And he's got those go-go gadget arms that just get in the way. Of all key defenders out there, I reckon he's about as well equipp...

And Steve Johnson's a right tool. I hope he had a rib rattled.

I'm with Milney on this one. If I was in the little fella's boots, i'd have considered doing the same thing more than once!

I quite enjoyed Blakey coming in afterwards, too. Game was gone. Having a dip. Nothing lost.

Pies squibbed on fourth.

Has this theory been discussed yet? I reckon Pies - with a good record against teams in the bottom half of the eight and as an enigmatic team that needs to momentum to be a threat - threw that Freo game to make sure they avoided Geelong week one of the finals and to shore up what they thought would ...

Swans are on an up, they're tough as teak and they've been there, done that. Dogs on the other hand are young, inexeperienced and rattled. So Swans to play Cats in a prelim. Of the remaining teams - believe me I'd like to see it differently - I think only the Swans can match Geelong physically. We c...

I don't deny him his success. It's just that he's a sour-faced, surly, humourless, charcterless ars*hole. After the West Coast game, when questioned about his team's performance, he started off by saying 'Look, West Coast don't really have much of a list at the moment, so...' Now West Coast have str...

Get rid of all the dead wood and the players that are an injury liability. X Clarke I am a real fan of when fit, but we get f all value out of him. Sorry X. time's up. Raph is our Kepler Bradley. No thanks. Sam Gilbert hasn't been mentioned. The guy tries hard, but has no right side and couldn't hit...

So the lessons from this week’s tribunal: You can be accused of allegedly accidentally standing in someone’s way and have that person apparently run into the back of you (even though there’s no film footage of the incident) and get seven weeks for it. Ok. BUT that sort of alleged spurious offe...

On the sponsorship issue ... I doubt any corporate entity at the moment would be too keen to associate itself with a club that has RB at the helm. Achievements aside, you can't honestly say that in an era of politically correct public relations RB is a shining light. His stewardship of the public fa...

Credit where it's due - RB's made some fairly cunning and effective financial and administrative decisions. Necessary ones too, given the club's state at the time of his appointment. But business administration is his only trick, and his personal issues have been a drain on the club all year (and re...

I can't believe people are shocked by innuendo being tossed about when there's talk of a board spill. Politics is grubby, more so in a heated atmosphere. Butterrs has been a good financial manager, but there is no doubt he was disruptive this year for whatever reason - public or private. I reckon hi...

Given retirements of Gehrig, Thomson, Voss (maybe), and Harvey (maybe, unlikely IMO), I assume we have a bit of money to spend. Does anyone know exactly what we can spend and who is on the market ?
