Re: Match SIM squad & Match Thread v Melbourne 24/02/23

1st Period
We're leaving a lot of open space & free players straight in front 30-60 out
Seem to lack movement in transition
Getting sucked into the contest. Melb have lots of outlets

I'd be disappointed if we decide to trade up from Pick 9 as it looks like we'll get one of the gun midfielders regardless if we stay at 9 - we're sure to get one of Tsatas, Clark, Mackenzie, Phillipou, Ginbey or Humphrey - happy with any of those :D I'd only be trading up if we could get to pick 3....

Stock has been labelled as a slow plodder, poorly skilled, and not up to it. But after watching his AFL & TAC Cup highlight this is simply not the case. He appears to have a good burst of pace, tough and tackles, but lacks endurance. And he has been played out of position!!! He's s midfielder an...

We'd want some else back, ie 40 &/or 43. So we can look to on trade and up grade 28.

Paton Howard Wilkie Sinclair Battle Coffield Clark Windhager Wanganeen-Milera Butler Hayes Billings Higgins King Sharman Marshall Steele Gresham Jones Owens Highmore Connolly That is a team that doesn't require a rebuild. Potential trade targets

I think we should be targeting youngish player who fill a need but still have the potential to be develop into best 22 players. Elliott Himmelberg, averages over 1 goal per game and would fill the fwd/ruck void. Would he be better than Sam Weideman or Esava Ratugolea. Tanner Bruhn, Geelong is low ba...

We should head hunt Adem Yze if he doesn't get the Bombers gig, or someone of the ilk of Justin Leppitsch or Choco Williams.

Clark to North for future 2nd. Our future 2nd and Long to GCS for Bowes and 7. Pick 9, Hill (+$450k) and Bytel for Horne-Francis Draft in Mackenzie and hope Lewis Hayes is at our pick 27. As it currently stands North dont have anything to offer us apart from pick 1. Saying that I'd take Nick Larkey & Tarryn Thomas for Hill. We need to remember we have the power in this situation, as Hill is contracted. On a side not with North only having pick 1 then pick 55, how are all these pl...

        Quiet as a mouse...

Why do the saints appear to be so quiet this off season? Apart from De Goey (most likely will not get), the media only has us linked to fringe players, hasbeens, and basically said we're willing to sell any decent player we have. So why aren't we targeting players who can help us be a formidable opp...

So if they come to us, we simply say, sure we'll trade you both and you can give us pick 1. We are in the box seat and can ask what we want for Hill. Unfortunately Long could leave via pre-season draft for nothing.

        2023 Forward line coach

Lade is currently our forward line coach, and well to put it simply. Our forward line does not function consistently!!
Is it him or is it the overall game plan?
There must be some better realistic options out there. Who should we approach?
