IMO You have explained the Richo ethos perfectly bbm. He wants players who run and work both ways and a big part of that is pressure acts.

I think thats the reason for our last 1/4 fade outs. We are not a quick or natural running side as a group and the game style (pressure) that Richo is employing is very taxing. Come the last 1/4's we are simply out of juice!

For me 2 x changes this week Goddard & Lonie for Gresham & Minchington.

I can't see any changes, really. Maybe Lonie for Meatball, but I would prefer Minchington over Lonie. His tackles stick a little better (not having a go at Lonie there) and he is better able to help out at the centre bounces if needed.

I don't think Goddard should come in. I don't think his VFL form is (based on reports) as good as it should be for him to come in and take on a very good, very tall forward line. Could hurt his confidence, especially if he just goes out the next week.

My prediction, not necessarily recommendation, is

- Fisher will get Petrie.
- Dempster to Brown
- Gilbert or Webster to Waite

Depending on how well they are holding up, Roo on a wing will drop back behind the ball. This puts pressure on Bruce, Membery, Acres to present off half forward. Our skills will need to be razor sharp.

Webster would be conceding 6cm and, more importantly, 20kg, if he gets the gig on Waite. If they were boxers they'd be in different weight divisions. The pressure upfield has to be on or it could get ugly.

Not sure that this is supported by the reality. If you review Monty's stats - Disposal efficiency 2016 - 77.1%, 2015 - 74.3%, 2014 - 68.7%, 2013 - 71.7%. Ave Clangers - 2016 - 2.3, 2015 - 3.5, 2014 - 3.1, 2013 - 3.1. Looks like his overall disposal efficiency is at career high levels to me.

Yeah, I kind of agree. I just remember seeing Webster hanging around Hogan last week, if not directly matching up on him, though I may have been seeing things. I just think if Gilbert is played elsewhere and Waite is playing high Webster might get him. It's not a good matchup, I agree.

I think they are playing games as we need another tall defender this week -needed last week really.
Goddard and Lonie to come in for Minchington and unlucky Gresham (team balance)

Really??

So the match ups on their key fwds are who? It will take more than upfield pressure to make up for so much size difference. Oh well, prove us wrong.

Rumour is Goldstein might be out this week with Majak being named in the emergencies... unfortunately I think that's the only way we get close in this one, but

North have had the better off us in the last four times we have played each other.

Overall they are up 35-22 so we owe them plenty.

Without looking it up, I'd say that's wrong. We have played them a lot more than 57 times in 90 odd years.

Should have clicked on the link Kosi, then you would have seen that those figures are since 1980.

So they're not "overall" just some arbitrary years.

He needs to find a better website.

It will be the 154th time we play each other. We hold a very narrow advantage, winning 76 games to 75, with two draws.

No way will they drop Sinclair, Mav or Mitch maybe.

Unless someone doesn't come up the likely hood is no change from last week.

Anyway I'm off to the ground.
