Firing or ignoring everyone with a problem is the sign of a poor manager ...not a good one.....and especially with football players where the ways of aquiring players are very restrictive.

Put GT at the Cats...and what would you have:
*Mooney got rid of
*Johnno got rid of
*Ottens never recruited as GT would not have paid the price...

and a lot lot less happy Ctas fans at the end of 2007...

GT, did jack s*** in getting our players there

He didnt draft anyone, that was John Beveridge- the recruiter, that was part of his job, to find the best talent the players that were fine young men in general so then they stay around a successful club and help it be one. Did it make you wonder that the boys we have there now are all friends, i dont think GT sat there and said, be friends they like each other for who they are and they want to be part of something special together. We just needed a good coach, not a corrupt piece of s***

I think the players are totally behind Ross Lyon and the current board, why else

Divisive person.

Ask anyone who has ever worked with him.

Control-freak.

Naturally isolates and draws extraordinary love at the same time.

Impossible type of person to have working colllaboratively at an organisation. Must be in charge.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Exactly...and exactly what I have been told by people that have worked with him....and for him.

Correct, he kept our nucleus of champs together under attack from poachers from all angles.
He upset Caro? Ok a medal there as well.
You highlighted earlier how he cut the list of losers, well done.
You are passing me as his campaign manager

Because thats just what players and fans do, just like you did for GT. I'm tipping Ross will be watching his back for you.

Ok...where are all these other clubs that did not keep their playing group together????

What there are none.......so you mean all GT did was what every other club did except that GT did it poorer so that we had to play two players short.

PS...you might not have noticed but Fiora improved markedly once he had a coach that put faith in him.

By the way which former AFL coach holds the record for signing players to long term contracts and then getting burnt when they are injured.

Can anyone beat GT's two???

Not bad for a great player manger eh......

Had a spot of bother keeping their champs. No?
Maybe if they had GT they would have maintained a formidable unit.

GT demanded accountabilty and responsibilty for this area from the Board and was given it.

So how did he do?

Neil Craig and Adelaide have had a tough time keeping their players together.

Like you said, WCE have had problems, not just keeping their players there and happy, but keeping their STARS there.

Sheedy did pretty well with Mercuri's long term deal... as did Brittain with Kouta... there are plenty, plenty of occurances of long term deals not working out.

Their record is superior to GT's.....and they also have a shiny cup.

CARE TO COMMENT ON THIS MR sRr????

SO, in your "opinion"  both Danny Frawley and GT never had faith in Fiora???

Fair Dinkum you do waffle on a bit but this one takes the cake????

so you are saying that....

RL in his first year as senior coach is the only coach to have faith in Fiora who started his career in 2000...

Yeah righto waffle on some more

Spot on, some tend to forget the paycuts suffered by our stars not taking on lucrative contracts thanks to GT.

Why ask him.?..GT demanded responsibilty.

Can't see a shiny cup for them for awhile, it's very difficult getting them, hopefully the legacy of GT retaining our champs will bring home the bacon for us.

What rubbish..

EVERY club has players who could get more money by swapping clubs.

The vast majority of players don't swap clubs.

Stating that GT somehow did better than AFL clubs is just fantasy....
