Back in the cold UK again now, but in Dec I was looking at the site and maybe posting from Sydney. I was unexpectedly back in Sydney as my Dad passed away. His Saints link is that I started going for the Saints in the Junction Oval days, and then Moorabbin. He took me to nearly all the H&A games in 66, then to all three finals. He pulled in all sorts of favours to get those tickets, and we were there on the big day I was 9 and Dad would have been 39.

I have many great memories of my Dad, but that season, and going to the GF are tops. We shared that, and my big link to those days is gone. He had a good dig, and was not well at the end, but sad all the same.

Caught this boat from Indonesia on the way home and have been on Christmas Island ever since.

Commiserations "Verdun66" I know how much your Dad meant to you . I recall when we had that wine or two or three or four in that little pub in London in 2005, you talked of your Dad and going to the footy with him as a young 'un and how he developed the passion for the Saints in you.

Those great loving memories you have will eventually lesson the pain and sadness you now feel I'm sure.

Did Mr Rudd promise you your application would be processed quicker than the other long term detainees on Chrissie Isle?

Tell him you need to be given permanent residency at the MCG for the last Saturday in September!

Ill be in Thailand and Loas during April
Will miss rounds 3 4 and 5
Leave morning after Round 2 arrive a back same day round 6

Will be checking in Via phone or Laptop keeping up to date on scores
