The In-Flux Report: Ro$$y and his saynta(s) have been found out! Just play us man on man. The sky is falling!!!!
The Teal Terrors went one-on-one on us.
And now everyone knows that's how to beat us.
The sky is falling!!! The sky is falling!!!
Actually.
Nope.
Looks like it was just an acorn.
Anyway, this rubbish is once again proudly sponsored by saynt Nosher Powell.
Just kidding.
Is proudly sponsored by............
Guaranteed to work against Daughters of Beaches key forwards!
And /or (but not 'nor', right Nosh? ),
For when life just sucks.
As used and recommended by Scotty from Marketing, and saynt Nosher after watching the World Cup penalty shoot out.

Match Review:
As was pointed out by Jedi and Capt CQ , our system still stood up. And against a very in form team. And despite our handicap of having no marking key forwards, we still nearly won the game.

Port are a very good side and have been playing beneath themselves recently. They really set themselves for this match against us on a 5 day break.
We are a good side and have some excellent players.
A couple of errors in the backline cost us, otherwise would have been a good win.
Very confident we will continue to improve.
Clark is approaching career best form
Owens is an absolute monster
NWM silk
Phillipou a wonderful talent
King and Billings to come back ....don't worry, we are in good hands
Sanctorum wrote: ↑Sat 29 Apr 2023 4:54pmI don't think the back 6 or centre 6 were a problem last night, rather the front 6 failed to function well at all.......
If you look at the stats, St Kilda had 54 inside 50s but only 25 shots at goal, a return of just 46%, among the comp's lowest.
Simply not good enough and unacceptable if they are going to seriously contend for finals.
In contrast, the Saints won pretty well all other aspects of the game:
38 - 25 hit-outs
37 - 32 clearances (14 -11 centre bounces)
both contested and uncontested possessions
OMG, they even won the free kicks 28 -14!!!!
Correct.
We're high up on forward 50 entries, low down on converting them. And that's because we lack key marking forwards. Still, too often we have the likes of Butler and Missy trying to compete overhead with opposition intercept marking defenders. Means we don't mark it, and too often, we don't get it to ground either.
And the Hammer's suspension for letting lizard Boy king hit him has only worsened that. Fortunately, we only have Nuff Nuff left till we get him back.
So yeah, we lost due to the same issues we've been contending with all year. But having an actual cho ach (and panel) who know what they are doing means we now get away with this more often than not.
Get back the likes of Joe King and Hayes. A bit more size and experience into the Hammer, Pou Power and Chito will fix that. (Though doing the maths, Hayes may only be back very late this season, at best. )
In other words...... the dream lives on. (Hopefully with Jack Hayes back, fit and firing.)
Next week's team:
Ro$$Y again praised the selfless one possie' contribution of Big.Marmot's favourite footballer.
So looks like Cordz gets another gig next week.
Not from the Fux Report though... unless we can play him as a key back, allowing Doogie or Battle to be swung forward if we're struggling. If Cordz survives to play against Roadkill, then he's definitely outski the following week when The Hammer is available.
Ae-ins: Windy, Bytel. (The Sandy bye may count against Billings getting a call up, so he's probably the BS sub.)
Ae-Outskis: : Paton, Cordz.
And as for Pou Power......
Breaking news!
First year player has quiet game!
The sky is falling (again)!
If he'd held onto those three almost screamers, and if he had kicked 'that' set shot goal in an orthodox manner, we'd be singing his praises. He will soon start holding onto those grabs. (Just like Chito and The Hammer are starting to.) He is a beautiful kick. And he's also been extracting some 'hot' footy from the packs. And all this with no big key forward to divert the heat. Unless he's injured, he plays!
Oh, have talking to a couple of ex-AFL footballers. We'll win easily against Club Roadkill. Word is, desertnowcoastalsaint has learned his lesson. He'll now be doing the right thing, and reverting to tipping against us in the work footy tipping contest. Onya DS!
Sandy Match Report:
This week's performance was a distinct improvement over last week's.

Don't know the selection criteria required, but regardless, no-bloody-way does that plodder Wasteway deserve anything but contempt for his inept leadership.
However, if he gets a gong, then shirley his replacement will score one too? Afterall, he did the seemingly impossible....... somehow managed 'raise' the ineptitude level above that of his predecessor.
Two rants for the price of one this week.
Discussion on who should fund a new Tassie stadium... or... if it's even needed.
Hard to find, but a crowd in the high 20 thousands seems to be the largest ever to any sporting event in Tassie. (Except maybe the 'native wars'.)
The oval in Lonny is in the process of being upgraded to hold such a crowd...
Here at the Flu report, we want the great and beautiful state of Tassie to have its own footy team!
However, the fact that Tassie does not have its own footy team is entirely the fault of....... Tassie.
The small population is a big enough problem........ but.......... that population is split........ three ways!
Gestapo HQ should be telling the relevant Tassie footy people to go away. And come back when you've sorted out that three way split thing.
(Which means they'd never come back. )
Post of the Week:
As we lamented many times here on the Fuxed Report, this team is top 4. Should have played finals in 2022. The problem was the utterly clueless retreaded cho ach.Sanctorum wrote: ↑Thu 27 Apr 2023 9:57amIf anyone believes that the 2023 Saints are much like the team of 2022, as in both seasons after Round 6 they are 5-1, the following assessment by Fox Sports suggests this is not the case at all:
"3. ST KILDA (5-1, 142.9%)
Last week’s ranking: 5
This isn’t 2022. The comparison everyone wants to draw is to last year’s Saints, who went 5-1 and then 8-3 before falling apart in the second half of the season. But that was a record built on beating mostly bad teams (five non-finalists plus Fremantle and Richmond before they got going, and the upset over Geelong) - and the underlying numbers were very different. Between Rounds 1 and 6 last year the Saints ranked 15th for ball movement; this year they’re first, as well as first for preventing ball movement from D50 to F50. Their excellent defence has them allowing just 60 points a week. As Champion Data’s Daniel Hoyne explained on SEN on Wednesday night, the only times they’ve done better than that after six rounds, they won the flag (1966) and should’ve won it (2009). This team is a legitimate top four contender and if you’re in the top four you can win the flag."
It's still early days and many more games to come, but it's hard to deny these stats. And what should encourage us even more is that, as in 2009, the team is coached by the same man who has returned to our club with vastly more experience and a totally different approach to the way he coached previously, with a very talented trio of assistants.
Where Have They Been What Are They Doing?
We didn't win this week, so no bet to welch on (not 'Welsh', Nosh ). So ZZ's favourite chess grand master has considered it safe to unlock the doors, and venture out of his local pub to work on his sample size collection...... still alone though. That's the way he likes it. (Apparently.)
Don't tell the prim and proper good folks of Ferretsville, but Harry is having an affair. An Italian affair. Oh Harry.
Young Loris has once again 'left the kitchen'.
Whilst there are blokes to be given their comeuppance, she won't rest.
After the loss, Trev from the Boat hit the ocean again to clear his head.
But Dragstar is not fazed by the loss. He's still keeping the family entertained in between Saynta('s) games. Onya Dragstar!

Dearest Aeon,
That's correct. The sky is not falling. We just have to take the odd step backwards occasionally, before we stride forward again.
Looking forward to seeing you at the footy again honey. This week we've polished off the bullbar on the faux wheel drive. It's road kill time.
