I understand that the financial deal offered to us to move to Frankston/Seaford was too good to pass up, and the quality of the training facilities we'll be able to build on an unconstrained site will be excellent. The tragedy of the decision, though, is that St Kilda will now never have a true &qu...

I'm not denying the advantages of the deal offered by Frankston Council, and I'm certainly not advocating Casey as something better.St Fidelius wrote: Again, it's a training facility FFS
But, if it's just a training facility, as you say, then where is our spiritual home?
Etihad Stadium??
Or don't we need one?

Re: Left handed/foot - footballers...
Left-handers, by contrast, are capable and comfortable switching between tasks. This seems to suggest that left-handed people have an excellent ability to multi-task , and anecdotal evidence that they are more creative may stem from this ability to multi-task. Therefore: all women are lefthanders.

Re: A Loris theory on Goddard
Yes, me too! I've been noticing his terrible first quarters for a while -- full of errors and *uck-ups. Then he settles down, usually, and dominates.loris wrote:
Does anyone else think that Goddard is a negative splitter??
Then again there was that game where he had 4goals by 1/4 time.

I was thinking Bakes might get dropped for Maguire. Much as I love him, he hasn't been super-productive recently. Much of what he does could be done by Maguire but Maguire can take on the big forwards too. Or can become a big forward himself, leaving Gwilt to take over some of Baker's duties. Any th...

misprint? -- or maybe Zac is something special
Just looking at the "1%s" column in the stats v Collingwood.
We had 64 (to Coll's 49)
Our top six were:
Ray, Blake and Ball, 4 each.
Fisher 5
Geary 7
Zac Dawson 13!
That seems quite disproportionate -- something special I hadn't been noticing.

I've been hoping that Luke Ball would step into #4 -- from 14 just like Plugger did. As a genuine leader and legend. I take the history of our numbers probably way too seriously, and emotionally. I hate seeing a non-deserver in one of our great numbers. I'm even upset at seeing small players in No 1...

I'm really hoping he'll step up too. But I wasn't impressed last year. He started off well, but by midway he was timidly chipping the ball around (or backwards) and just looking scared of getting it wrong. I thought he had hit a wall mentally and had lost all confidence and initiative. Eddy, also, h...

Armooo you're a good jumper designer! But I have to agree with Barks4eva that our clash jumper actually has to be a true traditional St Kilda jumper -- like the white-backed one (see those old photos of Neil Roberts in it, c1958!) (Or even the candy stripes -- that 'heritage' jumper remains a beauty...
