Robert Eddy In I don't for one minute understand how he can be selected. I hope he does well but......... Because of the forcast weather ? You have got to be kidding me ! You need BETTER SKILLED players in the wet. His skills are poor at best under the Dome roof. Falls over more often than Stephen M...

Lyon Interview 21/4 - Article Adelaide Herald Sun

http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/sport/afl/story/0,26547,25367263-5016212,00.html FIFTEEN kilometres, covered by Mark Webber in just three minutes on a good day, can be a tyranny of distance between AFL clubs. There was St Kilda coach Ross Lyon yesterday, hosting his weekly media scrum with ease, ...

http://sportal.com.au/AFL-news-display/saints-intra-relief-64503 Mindful of serious injury setbacks earlier in the day at Carlton and Essendon, St Kilda coach Ross Lyon was delighted to see his players walk off the field in good shape following Friday evening's intra-club at Moorabbin. "We got ...

I agree there wasn't a great deal to report from training - it was just a preseason fittness session really. Although having Jack Barker there sitting on the bench WAS the news of the day. Hopefully all the young Saints fans know who he is now. Further training news : Brad Howard was training and lo...

Training Today Wed 10th December

Went down to Moorabbin today. Stayed for the first hour. Pretty basic preseason fitness training with fitness the main aim,not too much ball work (match day simulation) Notes : 1. Maguire, Goddard, Baker, Begley,Connors, Rhys Stanley, Blake McGrath and Paul Cahill trained away from the main group. J...

Listened to Ross Lyon on 3AW tonight. Key points made : 1. Baker will be 100% to play a full season next year 2. Dissapointed with result in Prelim against Hawks but we had 2 B & F Winners in Ball and Baker out which hurt 3. Armitage will play 18 plus games next year (after 11 last year includin...

BJ was BOG today by a mile.....daylight second. The best game he has ever played for the Saints. I can see him as an All Australian in 2009 and look forward to seeing him used in positions on the ground where he can hurt the opposition. If he can find a constant balance between his talent and his an...

It was awesome to see alot of players from the old Moorabbin days of the 1988-1993 Harvey era : Rod Owen, Brett Bowey, Russell Morris, Dean Greig, Dean Anderson, Jamie Shanahan And Lazar Vidovic, Rod Keogh, Kristian Bardsley, Jason Heatley, Matthew Young, Steve Ziller There were so many more that we...

Maguire will NEVER be a forward. I love the way he played his football (before he was injured) but now he is too heavy and too slow. He is a defender because he does not have the natural skill or ability of a Kosi or Riewoldt. I know we need to give him time to be match fit. But to compare him with ...

Now Dermie was a great footballer but where were his 2nd 3rd and 4th efforts ? He just wacked players behind the play. Harvey was still running and creating late in the last quarter. Dermie just shut up and let everyone enjoy a once in a lifetime champion.

Max BOG. No free kicks given against him and Lloyd no goals. Max is bigger than Lloyd's shorts and that's saying something.

I agree with your comment - What has Fiora done ?

Sweet FA !

He has been given so many chances and will NEVER stand up when it counts.

Fiora might look like a better footballer but that does not mean he is a better footballer. (than Jones)

Agree with your Blake comments, very ordinary under pressure. There is a reason they all him Neil around the club. He's a Spacecadet ! of the Neil Armstrong kind.

The idea with Blake will be for him to play on a tall down back to free up the best loose man in defence in the league Sam Fisher.

How did you get these sides so early in the afternoon ? They aren't even on Sportal yet. Jones unlucky to be dropped and Fiora very lucky to stay in the side. I was not a huge Jones fan until Saturday night and "that mark". He won me over, I would have kept him in for that effort alone. Fi...

Blake has to play in this game. We need someone to run with Goodes. It doesn't matter where he is named he will follow Goodes allnight. Unfortunately there is no room for Armitage. This will be a common practice this year if we do not have injuries, many good players will miss out. This is why Geelo...

Where did you find this side ? I have been searching all the websites nothing is listed yet. Happy with the side though. Still think Jones is a bit lucky. Leigh Fisher has better skills but not quick enough. Fiora has good skills but no heart and Birss is also not quick enough. Armitage is very stif...
