If we do nothing else for the rest of the year we must play players who will be part of the future More importantly we must pick 22 each week who are committed to 100% intenstity and 100% application. Any player who can't get their minds around doing this should play at Sandy for the rest of the yea...

In 5 years time Ben McEvoy will be...
1. 26 years old 2. On the verge of the prime years in his footy career - ruckmen develop later than others 3. In the leadership group at St Kilda, and 4. Be Captain of St Kilda This guy is a born leader and below the current leadership group is the next apparent leader. For those whacking Macca left...

Through adversity we will learn.....
Who are the real leaders (on and off field) at St Kilda... How strong and brave these leaders really are..... Who are team players and who are individuals.... Who will make the sacrifices required to be the best and who will not.... but more importantly: WHO WILL GIVE ALL UNTIL THEY CAN GIVE NO MORE...

Did we already lose the Qualifying Final?
You would have thought so by the media commentators views on tonights football shows, taking about who the saints will play next week. (BS) It's one thing to jump on the bandwagon of geelong (like every other fair weather supporter), but it's another thing to underestimate the Saints in 2010. Make n...

Big ground, no small forwards. no chance....
Today at AAMI we were never going to win without schneider or milne.
With the pressure put on by the crows all over the ground, they wanted this win much more than we did.
I would be more concerned about the injury to chips than our loss today...

IMO, the answer to this is to rotate Roo 50% FF and 50% CHF depending on how each game is going. That being said I would take Kosi off the ground or move him into the ruck when Roo plays FF. Kosi is not mobile enough to play CHF. Apart from who gets the ball, another key factor is WHERE our forwards...

A few thoughts on last nights debacle.....
1. If you are going to have a big, slow tall bloke in your team ONLY play him in the ruck or occasional forward. In today's game a slow lumbering permanent forward effectively creates an extra player for the opposition. 2. Whilst we were ordinary last night - as long as we choose to play a lumbering...

It could be worse.....
If this game was played in R22 we would be farked.... We have four weeks to turn things around against teams who want to finish the year with a few scalps. We have four weeks to get the hunger and aggression back into our game. Last nights game was the worst I had seen in a few years but our core gr...

Zac surgery this morning....
Heard on MMM's this arvo reports that Zac had surgery this morning to fix a break or fracture to his hand.
Not sure how long he will be out but who's going to step up to take his spot for 2-4 weeks???

The Zac debate from different perspective....
With many posters pointing out and debating the merits of Zac in our team, one key issue needs to be taken into consideration. Apart from Lenny who is a gun inside mid, our other mids are more outside mids who do some inside work but not to the level of Lenny. If Lenny is not winning the footy and g...

A huge improvement on last week....
After watching last weeks game live at the G and seeing the Hawks belt the Lions on the replay, I wasn't sure if we would be able take any points off the Hawks tonight. I think we can win every week but last weeks form was very ordinary, low on confidence and defensive pressure. To take 2 points fro...
